I use these on west trail with lot leaves. They are best I have ever tried and I have tried a lot. Just using just tip you pick up leave, get stuck on roots and get ground suction. These take care all these issue. If nordic walk on trails these way to go. They provide great traction when pushing back with poles. I will definitely get them again. Work great on wet roads when stand feet slip. Update 4 month use. I have found even on dry pavement they at least durable as most shoes. I think this because of soft and do not slide. They make walking much quieter, plus they slightly cushion impact which make walking more pleasant. The extra traction means slipping is eliminated if your style is push off or slight back angle. I walk about 1200 miles per year with poles and have tried about 1/2 dozen different styles. These the absolute best. Poles have different tips. If they slight loss one or two wraps with electrical tape eliminate problem. The tips are best. 9 month update. I had first tip fail. 5 still ok. I think still have couple months left on one pole set. I use 3 different lengths. I find they last walking on pavement about 350 to 400 miles, but i push back very hard, plus put down pressure between 15/20 lb. my goal is workout, not pleasant stroll. They are best, l am going order three more sets, so have them waiting.

I liked my pair of these so much that I went shopping for more! The grip and sturdiness of these tips for my hiking sticks work on all surfaces. However, be careful coming onto a smooth surface if they are wet! I think that I have been using my first pair for about a year and little wear has occurred! I use them indoors and out to assist me in walking all the time!

I purchased these to replace a set of hiking tips where one tip fell off and the other tip was punctured by the carbide tip on my trekking poles. I purchased samples of each type of replacement tip I could find on the Internet and experimented with each tip on a variety of rock, dirt, and packed trails to prepare for several days of hiking on trails in Montana. I found these tips to be more stable than other tip I used. I loved how the ribs come up each side which gave added traction for both uphill and downhill trails. They were a little slick on wet trails, but I have had the same problem with all tips I have used. While I also like using rubber feet, I like how I don't have to worry about twisting the feet on these tips to make sure they aren't sideways. I highly doubt I will hit the 500 mile advertised rate, but even 100 miles will be double the life of any other tips I tested. They stay on well - although it may still be wise to tape them on since they are so expensive. Note: I use carbon fiber poles from Foxelli.
