Accurate so far!
Mine didn't have instructions, but I watched a customer's video, and it's very simple to use. I found a diamond necklace (an inexpensive one, but still pretty) in a jewelry mystery lot, and, since I'm thinking of selling it, I wanted to make sure the diamonds were real. I tested my own known diamond jewelry, and even got a surprise with a small necklace that was supposed to be either zircon (which is a a real stone) or cz. Some of the tiny stones registered as diamonds. It's from India, so it may be a common thing to mix them (?). Anyway, the known diamonds checked out as genuine. Well worth buying if you are a jewelry re-seller like me. The customer's video also said it will determine crystal, glass and jade. My jade beads checked out as genuine jade.

Works well, but won't find moissanite.
I verified that all our real diamonds are indeed real. And, the one my wife found on the street isn't. lol The important thing to remember is that you could be fooled my moissanite. Moissanite has very similar heat transfer characteristics to diamond and that's what this tester measures. The instructions warn you about this too. Moissanite optically produces double image reflections, so a jeweler's lope should allow you to spot it. There are examples on the web. I haven't, yet, taken a look at moissanite to learn exactly how this double image is presented. I need to stop by a jewelry store and see it first hand.

Very nice product for testing diamonds small and large
This technology has been around for a while now and this product is very reasonably priced now. It accurately tests diamonds and even rubies (although it will not tell you the difference from a radiation or heat treated stone). Diamonds have the greatest thermal conductivity of any stone (natural or synthetic) and rubies just under diamonds. This device accurately and quickly assesses that. We tried various stones, synthetic and real, and found it accurate on everything from pave to larger carat (+) diamonds. Nice to have if you are looking for a good deal at a pawn shop or estate sale. We all know they often tell you it is real (when its not). This and a good jewelers loop and you are less likely to be taken so to say.

Es funcional
Es funcional. No es perfecto, pero si lo sabes usar te muestra un diamante real y un falso

It kind of works...
Using the same settings in the same place at the same time, it correctly identified some diamonds I had and missed a few others of similar size which I got tested at a jeweler. It doesn't do well at all on very large rocks, which was my purpose for buying it.
