Tang comes off with a modest tug. Blade was very badly burred throughout. Blade seating was grossly inaccurate causing tip to point downward by approximate 20 degrees when handle is seated flat. Flat part of handle was misaligned to flat part of blade.

Accurate tool
Fits nicely in my apron for convenience of making super accurate marking for the furniture projects I do. Very sharp and crisp marks. Beats my mechanical pencil for most projects.

A little rough around the edges...
A little rough around the edges, but nothing a little elbow grease can't fix up. A little rust and grime on the blade, but after some time on the stone it's sharp and shiny and tracks true. I find them a good alternative to the more expensive marking knives.
