The mug is great, and keeps drinks hot or cold as promised. I use it daily. Their service is helpful and immediate as well. I found this out when the lid to my mug cracked and soon shattered, in the first week I used it. I contacted customer service, and they sent me out a new lid. Unfortunately it was the wrong one for my mug, which must be a new model since it didn't appear as one of their products on their web site. When I let them know the replacement was the wrong one, they immediately sent 2 of the correct size.The story continues, though. I usually use the mug at home, without the top. After happily using it for several months, one day I was taking a trip, so filled the mug with steaming hot coffee and put the lid on. Shortly into my drive I discovered big cracks in the lid. It now has severe fractures but hasn't fallen into pieces yet, but it seems there may be issues with the lid dealing with the heat stresses from hot liquid. But given my experience, I am confident they will stand behind their product if my second lid has the same problem.

I am always looking for cups that I can use to keep my beverages in (mostly cold ones) and all over ever had are the cheaper made ones that have condensation, strange tops, or no variety of tops. This all changed when I started looking into the really expensive "Tervis" like tumbler cups that are outrageously expensively and I don't recall the name of. Yes, I wanted one bad after reading how great they were, how they lasted through a truck fire etc. Through my search on Amazon I found many varieties of sort, in different sorts, sizes, and prices. I have to say that SIC cups are now my favorite cups and I will buy nothing else. They come in a variety of sizes, great colors, and a selection of lid types and straw tops! I use them for cold drinks, my drinks stay cold for 24 hours. This cup is exactly as described. I often pour two 12 oz cans of Sparkling water in, so the 24oz was for me. My husband drinks hot tea and coffee, so I got him a smaller size, he makes tea in the morning, and it's still hot on his way home from work.. Thank you SIC for making high quality, affordable, awesome cups!

This is good, but not great (hoping it was). It claims to keep cold water cold for up to 8 hrs (if I remember correctly), but nah, ...more like 4 to 5 hrs. A different one I have (don't see the brand on it) does indeed keep cold water cold for almost 8 hrs. Too bad the lid broke, and that's why I bought this SIC. A bit disappointed.

After hearing friends talk about their Yetis, I started researching similar but less expensive cups and read the reviews that had tested both the SIC and the Yeti together. I'm so glad I ordered this. I wanted the cup so I could fill it with ice and leave it in the hot car all day, and have cold water when I left work. The SIC is great--except that I discovered I have to put ice water in the cup, because the ice didn't melt enough, even after 9 hrs. parked in the sun in the upper 90 degree heat of Atlanta. As others say, it is cool to the touch, and there is no moisture on the outside. It's exactly what I hoped for!

To begin, the packaging on this product is great. It rained heavily the day it was delivered and nothing was damaged except a few papers inside the bag. The cup comes with four stickers (if that is important to you!) We have a Yeti and a SIC cup in our collection and this cup is exceptional! The quality is pristine and it appears to have more insulation that the Yeti. After using both cups I would choose SIC again not only for the amazing value but, for the wonderful quality of the product. I bought this on recommendation from a friend who had a very positive experience with the customer service at SIC and like her I will be a repeat customer.

OK so it is a bit pricey but well worth it! It will be ideal when we drive from Central Illinois to our winter place in Green Valley AZ. I can refill as needed at motels en route that have free ice or at gas stations. It will also be perfect pool side. I did not buy the plastic straws since any star from a fast food place or mini mart can be used easily/I plan to use it for cold drinks but I assume it will also keep coffee hot for an extended time.

I just received my mug but I can't use it. The sliding piece to the lid opening is WAY too loose. I had wanted this mug specifically to buy iced coffee and bring to work in my backpack without spilling, and also so I dont waste a plastic cup every time I buy an iced drink to go. I hope someone can contact me about replacing the defective piece, as I really wanted to use this mug!

Gave this to my dad for his bday and he loves it! He said it kept his hot drink hot almost all day!Update: bought one of these for myself and these things are amazing! Ice stays frozen all day and warm drinks really do stay warm 8 hours+. Dad tried to make iced tea by brewing in this cup and putting it in the fridge; but, when he took it out the next morning it was still hot!
