Must have for playing army.
Easy for a kid to put together.

If you have kids, you need this.
Note, don't throw it directly at your kids - it's pretty solid. BUT... drop it right next to them and watch the fun ensue. If you're a nerf family like mine is (yes, we ALL have our own stash of nerf) then this is a much needed addition to your collection. It hits the ground and sprays out creating a circle of nerf fire. This is perfect for the kid that likes to hide behind the sofa or around the corner. It can be a little difficult to retrieve and refill, but it's still totally worth it.

Interesting Toy
The media could not be loaded. We ordered this toy after my little guy saw it on YouTube channel Park Ranger LB (T-Rex Ranch). My 5 year olds thought: “it is hard to hold down the levers to put balls inside, but the pin is easy to pull.”My thoughts: it was hard for us to figure out how the toy works as their were no instructions on he inside of the packaging. We finally figured it out, but definitely a learning curve!

Perfect gift
Bought this 6 months ago and it gets tossed everywhere! The fact that it isn't broken yet, earns it all 5 stars! Great gift idea!

I'm concerned about the foam balls becoming a choking hazard.
First of all, I want to say that the small foam balls inside the grenade are a very dangerous size and would easily choke a small child or dog that tries to chew on them. This would be FAR better with smaller beads that are shown in some of the pictures that are not a choking hazard instead of the quarter size foam balls they provide with it.The grenade itself is well made of heavy plastic and will survive many throws. However, the mechanism inside that disperses the foam balls does not do a good job of "exploding". Sometimes it catches and doesn't deploy the foam balls when thrown. The steel pin that holds the spoon in is small and not tight and you will lose it the first time the grenade is used. When you do lose the pin, you can use a rubber band to hold the spoon in place. It's very cool the first 2 times you throw it, and then it just becomes a chore to retrieve all the foam balls and reload it. If you continue to use it, assume you will be buying hundreds more of the foam balls. (then don't forget the choking hazard) It is heavy enough it can cause damage to furniture and anything else it hits. I probably would not buy this again, especially for the almost $30 price tag. .
