Depends on age and if the student has a locker for storage. Ideal for primary age who don't need to take much.

Well as it isn't here I can't measure it but it fits in a soft sided lunchbox and a few school books. It is good for primary school but far too small for high school. It's OK for going on a walk to put a thin jacket and water bottle or 2 in.
