Good question! The build plate is a flexible steel with a Buildtak surface for improved adhesion. You can order replacement steel plates and Buildtak surfaces separately for $34.99 and $49.99 respectively, or a combo for $89.99.

Q: can the print heads collaborate on one print or only produce two separate prints?

The two print heads can collaborate on one print. The E2's build volume for a dual extruder print is 11.6×9.4×9.4 inch (295×240×240 mm).

Q: Are the extruders boden or direct drive?

The Raise3D E2's extruders are direct drive.

Q: does the flexible build plate come with a Buildtak PEI sheet as opposed to the black standard......?

The E2's flexible build plate comes with the standard BuildTak printing surface (not PEI).
