Amazingly bright and on the brightest setting and with the head turned to zoom, the beam must be 400 metres!! If you turn the head to short focus, you get a large spread of very bright, white light. This torch also has a setting for a strobe action which could disorientate anyone trying to take something from you. The Torch is very solid and has a quality feel, not too light or heavy. Recharging is a doddle but before you use the torch, you have to remove a piece if plastic from the battery housing, this is put there to make sure the battery cant drain while in transit. If you have any issues, youtube videos are there to help you. Makes my old led lenser look very dim

Great torch the lowest setting is still bright enough for normal use and then the brightest wow it lights up my whole road brilliant when doing walks and gets dark whilst still out, it's so bright you can use it to make a fire 🔥 see pics and video of crisp packet melting holes in it. I had an issue with charging it as it would charge as normal with the supplied usb cable but if I used any others I use for a mobile or anything else it wouldn't work but instead turn torch on weird, so I contacted Nebo direct not through Amazon and they couldn't have been more helpful I sent info on what was happening and a video and picture and as it was over Xmas/new year it took longer as expected but once ball rolling they sent out a brand new torch didn't ask for old one back so I keep the old one as a spare but great service by Nebo. Highly recommend them for anyone wanting a super bright torch, especially good for people like me that like doing walks or any fisherman.

Really bright. Also really warm around the lens when in but instantly cool when switched off. It's like a real life physics experiment. Materials are top notch and the charging port is well hidden. It's robust and oozes quality. For the price it is exceptional. I have had other Nebo products and they are really good quality, long lasting products. I xant see why this would be any different. If anything, build quality is better.

I am very conflicted with this torch because it is very well made and is nice and bright but two things completely let it down. 1st is the zooming function... when you try to screw it out to get a tighter focus the top tries to unscrew instead so you have to try and hold that bit while trying to unscrew the focusing part. 2nd and more important to me personally is that once focus to a tight beam you get a square LED outline which is horrible. I am used to tight round focus spots with Led Lenser torches and any other manufacturer for that matter but Nebo seem to use square LEDs means a square once focused and I don't like that. The price is great and build quality feels great also but these two aspects are putting me off buying another Nebo.

Torch is sturdy and works brilliantly but we were on the point of returning it because we initially couldn't get it to work. After googling the issue, we found that you have to remove the battery protector cover first. However, this isn't referred to in any instructions and the battery compartment isn't obvious to access. It's in the narrowest part of the torch and you need to twist hard (very) to unscrew it. The battery can then be tipped out and there is a round battery protector piece underneath which can be tipped out. Once reassmbled, the torch switched on perfectly.

Opened, charged and it does not work. About to message customer service and I guess i’ll have to take time out of my OWN DAY TO send this piece of **** back. What compensation will I receive for this inconvenience?

It’s definitely not super lightweight and it’s definitely not too heavy. It just feels a good sized chunky monkey. I love mine. I carry it around with me inside my anorak pocket. Handy thing to have on you. Re:Battery Life. I’ve not used it long enough in its brightest mode. (That one uses most power) As you tone down the brightness to suit whatever it is you’re doing, so the battery life is extended. You don’t always need mega bright light. It’s a great torch and I love mine. I’m not too worried about battery life, why fuss over that? All you need do is charge it back up again. It’s not like having to Purchase more batteries/cost etc. It’s around 6” long by a good 1” dia at its LED end. Right now it’s definitely my favourite torch.

This is my second Nebo torch ... my first was the NEBO Davinci 8000. Both are brilliant! The 8000 is powerful and great for around the house, and the 1000 for putting in your pocket when going out in the dark. But remember to take the battery guard out of the 1000 torch before using it for the first time!!!
