General Calculations: 1 sq.ft - 5.7 to 7.3 oz ( 160 to 200g) Couch Throws: 32X47 Inches (80X120 cm) - 5 Lbs; 47X59 Inches (120X150 cm) - 8 Lbs; Blankets For Beds: Twin Size (100X190 cm) - 8 Lbs; Full Size (140X190 cm) - 10 Lbs; Queen Size (150X200 cm) - 12 Lbs; King Size (190X200 cm) - 16 Lbs. Don't tighten the yarn too much while knitting it will only harden the blanket and make it much smaller. The quality and softness of the blanket will be nice and soft in touch if you knit your sches loosely. My recommendation is to use needles but don't be afraid to use your arms if you do not needles.

Great for a decorative throw
Before buying roving yarn- some research stated that it is very hard to clean (spot clean only & can’t wash), it can pull apart while working with it, and will shed like crazy while using. I wanted to make one of those chunky throws that I see everywhere in cozy homes on social media. Note that I did buy this, knowing that it will be more for decorative purposes and not likely a snuggle blanket. I looked on Amazon and other sites for a lot more time than I’d like to admit for this specific dark blue color & weight. Although it is a little expense for yarn, it was less expense than many other options out there. With that being said, I found it an excellent roving yarn for making a small chucky throw blanket. I did not felt it and used it as is after opening the package. The yarn is very soft, and the color is a beautiful deep navy blue. It did shed quite a bit while I was finger crocheting, but it never did split or pull apart completely. I did mess up a couple of times and had to undo large sections of the blanket. It did not have any issues unraveling and starting again.I bought the 6 lb size and it made a small blanket approx. 31” by 66”. It is a little long and not quite wide enough, so if I were to make it again (or if it bothers me enough to pull it apart later)- I would increase the width by 1-2 stitches.Overall, I love the look of the throw. In about 2 months, I have used it a couple of times for a blanket but mostly it is there to give texture and coziness to the living room. In the pictures, you can see that in some spots the yarn has created a little fray, but the yarn is not necessarily falling off (unless I pull it off). It also catches some random paper or dirt particles that are light colored, but they do brush off easily. I do not think that it would be as noticeable with a lighter yarn. If you want to use this yarn for a regularly used item like a scarf, I am not sure it is the right yarn for the project.

Synthetic material, not wool!
Just did a burn test on this stuff and it melts, doesn't char. Not real wool!

Decent quality for the price but messy
I'm not sure if this is authentic wool, I am inclined to believe it's synthetic as there were small bits of what looked like plastic coils throughout the yarn. It does shed, it also has a tendency to weaken in certain parts and pull apart. I felted mine by hand and also I washed it one time on a wash and rinse cycle in my washing machine, I'm not sure if this helped any as even after I finished my foot warmer blanket for a king size bed it still sheds and looks a bit messy. For the price, this is the best wool I could find. However, I wish I had purchased a cotton machine washable chunky yarn instead. This is very, very soft, but I feel like it's too messy and fragile to use as I would like to. It's more of a decorative piece than anything else.

Quality...exactly like commercials!
I have been looking for this yarn but so many are deceiving and not the large yarn for arm knitting. This is EXACTLY what you see in all the commercials. Love it! Going to order more!

Not good for chunky knit blankets
I disliked that two skeins became four because of the breaks in skeins. Also as I was hand felting the wool it was rough and hard to smooth (felting) in many spots. There were sections I just couldn’t use to knit my blanket with.If you’re looking to knit a large blanket I don’t recommend this woolVery unhappy! They offered to give me 5% back . I’ll take whatever I can get but honestly I can’t even knit chunky throw with what I have !
