STREAM 2 SEA SPF 30 Biodegradable Mineral Sunscreen, 3 Fl oz Non-Greasy and Moisturizing Reef Safe Sunscreen For Face Protection and Body Against UVA and UVB

Many chemically based sunscreens are toxic to coral reefs and fish. This is a mineral based sunscreen, so it is safe to wear around a reef when diving or snorkeling, and is probably much safer for humans. I burn easily and apply 50 spf at home in VT while gardening, very generously and often and still have quite a tan by the end of the summer. I used this 30 spf so I did not contribute to reef and fish death. This product stays on and protects better than spray sunblock. It has no odor. It is not at all greasy and washes off pretty well with soap. It is easy to reapply even on whey skin. It does rub off on clothes and bathing suits and leaves you a bit white, but that lets you know if you missed a spot. I like it enough that I am switching to using it at home for gardening, when I wear old cloths and dont care what it looks like. I would not wear it to a party! Worth the higher price

OF COURSE IT LEAVES A WHITE mark, CAUSE ITS REALLY NATURAL, people please understand : what makes the sunblock and body products toxic for you and the environment is the chemical they put in to make it clear, non visible, perfumed, etc so any natural pure zinc product will be like this, and that’s why some people rather use the tinted one, so at least is used as make up cover for tattoos, or face, scars, acne etc … This is the best I have used in many years of diving and boating, I’m a stewardess in private yachts and we are all day long in ocean, I love to protect my self from harsh chemicals, and mostly the ocean so I can keep enjoying it, this doesn’t stain your cloths it’s easy to wash out, I love all stream2sea products I even use their oils for hair and shampoo, we need more awareness and real knowledge, it’s time to stop pretending to look pretty even in the water 🥴I rather look always great than be pretty full of chemicals that eventually would make my skin ugly and sick … be smart and get all stream2sea, to protect our reefs and kids, just in case they don’t pay me to do reviews I just like to help and teach what I have learned from many experts, and I shared my experiences also I suffer of melasma that give me lots of darks spots we need to use the highest 50 or more spf protection, cause we get it even just with the wind that carries the uv rays, but I use this sunscreens to avoid it and it works perfect, I also use a tinny bit of it and take time to rubbed it evenly, and it doesn’t look bad, I just keep retouch after each immersion, with tinny portions .. gentle ..

This is the only sunscreen that I use. It is gentle enough for my sensitive skin, but I wish it contained ceramides or more glycerin or something else to make it more spreadable and not so opaquely white.

EWG are Powerhouse in alerting the government and consumers of dangerous chemicals. The European Union has banned many chemicals that are still used in the United States that are dangerous for human consumption. They also have an app where you could look up any product and it tells you on a scale the chemical exposures you may experience. Who wants to expose themselves and their family more dangerous chemicals? Remember the zinc sunscreen in the 80s and the life guards with the white noses? This sunscreen goes on thick and because of the zinc content does not rub in very easily and stays very white on the skin. I just use a few drops of water to rub it into the skin a little better so I'm not Ghostly white. I've used it four times this summer so far with hours of sun exposure paddleboarding and have not experienced any sun burns. Tanning nicely. It's expensive for the size and the amount of suntan lotion that you get. Knowing that I'm not exposing myself to additional harmful chemicals is worth it for me!

This is a very effective sunscreen but doesn't rub into skin well. When using you will have a white "sheen" on your skin.

I bought this sunscreen to use when swimming in the ocean in California. I applied it all over my body, which left a white cast. I reapplied it after getting wet, too. I got sunburnt on my legs! I have never been sunburnt on my legs when wearing SPF! I also was sunburnt on the chest, back, and shoulders. It was so horrible that 4 days later, I am still red and it still hurts. This never happens to me when wearing 30 SPF. The picture shared is from 4 days later. It was way worse on day one. Somehow my midriff, arms, and back of legs didn't burn when I was laying out in the sun. This product doesn't work consistently. It leaves a white cast all over your skin. When I got in the car afterwards, it left a white cast on the vinyl seats.

So far so good with this sunscreen. It has a light texture and does not leave any sort of thick residue on the skin once applied. I wore it for the first time today on a hike, and it offered good protection for my face and back of the hands (I covered the rest of my skin with a hat and clothing). It is also well rated by the Environmental Working Group for safety.

If you want to look like a ghost, this is the sunscreen for you. I appreciate its protection from sunburn and people who feel awkward looking at someone with a sheet-white face. This really doesn't "rub in." It stays white, and when I'm sweating it tickles for some reason. I always want to use reef-safe sunscreen that is also not so harmful to me, but I won't buy this one again. I have found others that don't stay so white.

Ghostly white and does not rub in. It gets all over your clothes and does not wash off of them in water; not to mention it also smells bad. For thirty five dollars I expected a lot more. I’m trying to be eco friendly, but this product needs to come a long ways before I would consider using it again. There are much better alternatives out there.
