Q: How do you keep the bag closed?

Very secure velcro at the top keeps the bag closed; Nothing falls out. We're on year #2 with these bags (a 4 & a 6 yr old); The bags are washed 1-2 times per week - they remain sturdy and they look new. Any spills (to-date) have been absorbed by the thick cotton so have not gotten on papers/etc in the book bags.

Q: would i be able to put rubbing alcohol on it

Don’t know why not. It’s just a canvas bag with Velcro.

Q: Can I do tie dye projects on them?

It seems like it's almost waterproofed, not saying it's watertight, but I hand washed mine and it could hold a little water inside and it trickled out slowly. That being said I'm not sure if it would hold dye, but I would certainly try it!! I think we might do ours, thanks for the idea!!
