Good but can be better
I bought an I-rail type and it works fine. The sound of the motor is a little noisy and the speed is not fast, so it is not working very cool, but there is no problem with using it. There are quite a lot of automation settings, and you can open and close curtains depands on outdoor brightness, also you can set up a time reservation. There is also a function that runs automatically with a slight pull. It's convenient for some people, but sometimes I want to make it half-open so I turn this feature off. Since it also supports remote and NFC tags sold separately, there is no complaint about expandability. Unfortunately, Siri Shortcuts only supports fully open and fully closed, and can't be partially opened, hope it will be fixed.Overall, it's not cheap compared to other Switchbot products, but it's worth buying from the perspective of improving your daily life. The battery life is okay to charge it every two months for everyday use. However, in the case of the I-rail type, it is a little diffcult to remove, so buying a solar panel may be an option for me. It's not essential, but you can lose your worries about battery charging.

Disappointing Performance and Limited Functionality
I recently purchased the SwitchBot Solar Panel Charger for Curtain, hoping it would provide a convenient and eco-friendly way to power my curtains. However, after using it for a while, I have been left disappointed and underwhelmed.First and foremost, the performance of the solar panel charger is underwhelming. Despite positioning it in an area with ample sunlight, it consistently fails to generate enough power to effectively operate my curtains. I have had to resort to using the traditional battery-powered option, rendering the solar panel feature almost useless.Furthermore, the SwitchBot Solar Panel Charger for Curtain lacks crucial functionality. One major drawback is the absence of any smart integration. Unlike other similar products on the market, it does not have the capability to be connected to a smart home system or controlled remotely through a smartphone app. This severely limits its usability and convenience.Additionally, the build quality of the solar panel charger is questionable. The materials feel flimsy and cheap, making me doubt its durability in the long run. Considering the relatively high price point of this accessory, I expected better construction and sturdiness.Lastly, the installation process of the solar panel charger was unnecessarily complicated. The instructions provided were unclear and confusing, leading to frustration during the setup. The lack of detailed guidance made it challenging for me to properly install and position the charger for optimal sunlight exposure.Overall, I cannot recommend the SwitchBot Solar Panel Charger for Curtain. Its underperforming solar panel, limited functionality, questionable build quality, and complicated installation make it an unsatisfactory purchase. I urge potential buyers to explore alternative options that offer better performance and more advanced features.

Works under very specific circumstances
For context: I have 4x SwitchBot Curtain (U-rail) installed in my home.Depending on how you install the panels, your mileage will vary. If you have to use the velcro stickers to hang them on the curtain itself (i.e. extending the built-in cable), I highly doubt it will be worth it for anyone. Out of 4 panels I installed that way, 4 velcro strips failed after a single day, with the adhesive on their backs letting go entirely. You could use velcro strips of better quality, but it's important to note that while installed in any other way than on the back of the bots themselves, it was (almost) impossible to make sure the panels would be oriented in a way the light would hit them correctly.Great if you have lot's of direct sunlight, and you can install them directly(!) on the back of your SwitchBots, terrible in any other situation. I ended up sending them back and buying 2 long USB-C cables (with a 90 deg angled connector on one side), so I could charge each pair at the same time using a normal USB charger, without having to remove them from the rails first. Since it's only necessary a few times a year, that solution works perfectly fine.
