The stone is exactly as described in description and photos and works well however the angle guard is useless because it it hard to use and is at a high angle. As a beginner, I suggest you watch a few YouTube tutorials on how to sharpen using the stone and then use your non-favorite knife to start practicing. After a learning curve of about 1 hr, I finally got a blade that cut through paper like butter, and I felt confident to start sharpening my favorites.

Very good deal on a quality 1000/6000 grit wet stone. Included in the package was a nice bamboo holder with a removable rubber gasket. No movement or rocking of the stone when in use. Also included is a cleaning stone and knife guide. I recommend watching some online sharpening videos if you haven’t sharpened on a stone before.

For shy of $15 it's extremely worth it and it beats buying new knives. It's pretty easy to get the hang of and learn how to sharpen your knife with a whetstone and eventually you'll run out of things to sharpen

Stones are good and the base is solid. The knife clamp is handy if you are new to sharpening with stones.

it's a good value stone for beginners, though you might want to look at tips the pros give on youtube.

I used this to paint a sandbox and an ‘outdoor mud kitchen’ for my son during the first U.K. lockdown.I let him choose the colour and this was his final decision - I wasn’t too sure initially when it arrived - but after a few coats, and living with it for a few days - it is a gorgeous shade of blue, and my 3 year old made a great choice!In terms of protection for the wood, both the sandpit and kitchen have obviously lived outside during the summer months (mainly in direct sunlight) and although the sandpit is undercover during the winter (and when we had the occasional Great British rainy summer day), the kitchen has been left open to all elements including, but not limited to - Sun, rain, hail, fog, snow, wind, more rain, a bit more snow, rain that came up from the ground, sideways rain and the odd bit of occasional drizzle, and also my 3 year old hitting it with his kitchen utensils. I only used cheap CLS wood, which isn’t really meant for outdoor use - but the protection from this paint (roughly 3 coats) means that although it doesn’t look perfect in the dead of winter, it’s not bad at all - I could probably do with giving it a quick once over in the summer (although I’m sure a quick clean and wipe down will suffice), but it’s really done a fantastic job, and if you didn’t know it was painted nearly a year ago - you would probably think it was painted only a few weeks ago. So far, no sign of rotting in the wood which is testament to the protective qualities of this paint.I needed just shy of two tins of paint to finish both the kitchen and the sandpit (1.2m x 1.4m x 50cm), so not an overly huge investment.I would definitely recommend this to all!

I thinned and sprayed over some old green paint which gave me a cool rustic finish.Great paint.

Needed to paint the summerhouse and this proved to be the perfect colour.
