It doesn't say on the object where it is made but it is designed in Italy and it is very well made. I had mine for many years and it looks like new.

How heavy a purse can it hold?

It can easily hold a big, full handbag. I use medium to big purses and never had an issue with the holder not being able to take the weight.

Does this really stay balanced? It looks like it would slide off surfaces fairly easily.

It is very cute and sturdy, but mine has slid off a few table tops! There can be no downward slope if it is going to stay on. Worth a try, though.

Beautiful purse hook that works well!

This is a beautiful purse hook. It is well balanced and strong enough to hold even my heavy purse to keep it off the floor. It is a little heavy, so carrying it around in my purse also increases the weight, but I think it is worth it to save my purse from the dirty floor.

Worth the money!

Absolutely beautiful without imperfections - no waves, snags or lumps, it is a beautiful and comment-worthy piece of art. If I could find a way to make this a necklace, I would. The hook holds my extremely heavy purse and balances despite the enormous weight I require it to hold.

I really love this purse hook

I don't know if I'm alone in this, but I seriously had no idea this would even balance. And it does! Haha i don't know why that blew my mind. But anyway, I really love this purse hook. Very cute. A very sturdy and well made design. Kinda pricey though. I don't know that it's worth that much.
