Edmond FallotDijon Mustard with Green Peppercorns (7 ounce)

Pricey, but might just be the best mustard I've ever tasted.
This might just be the best mustard I've ever tasted. Its unique, transient flash of heat is similar to some of the better Chinese Mustards. There's a strong momentary sense of horseradish, tho there's none listed in the ingredients. It is sharp, tangy, momentarily hot, and delightfully and complexly flavorful. Not at all like more typical American mustards, which taste completely flat in comparison. If you like Chinese mustards, you'll likely love this stuff. It's not like conventional, capsaicin-based, "hot sauce" where the burn lingers for some time. Instead it almost immediately dissipates, certainly within a few seconds. But, wow, what a taste impact! My wife, who has no tolerance for hot foods at all (unlike me - I love the hot stuff) found it equally delightful and was immediately hooked right along with me. But make no mistake, at 11 bucks (with shipping) for a 7 oz bottle, it's pricey. Compared to "normal" mustard, it's downright exorbitant! But . . . if that's the only way to get it, so be it. Fact is, I can't find anything like it anywhere else. I'll be buying it again (and again). IMHO, worth it. While tastes among folks vary wildly (you might hate it), I, nevertheless, highly recommend it.
