Buckle & Formal/Dress Belt

Bought a dark brown Anson Belt with silver buckle . I love it. This belt is a joy to wear. As I go throughout the day, I make adjustments to the fit with ease. I'm always comfortable. Eat a big meal? Quickly make a micro adjustment to put you back in the comfort zone. Out for a long drive? Easily loosen it for the trip, then cinch it up when you reach your destination. This belt will change your life. I'm not kidding. Don't be afraid, buy it :-)

I will never buy a belt with holes again. Coolest belt. Good quality and the ratcheting is great. Fits just right. Comes in two different widths. One for dress and the other more casual. Can mix and match the buckles. Will be buying another one soon.

Received belt in box and it was wadded up-not rolled and secured. There were no instructions for sizing/cutting belt or for how to release the belt once tightened up around your waist. Through trial and error, I discovered that just pushing the release tab out did not work when the belt was under load. The release tab simply would not move and pinched the heck out of your finger. You needed to release tension by slightly cinching the belt without engaging the next adjustment cog then pushing out on the tab. I like the look and adjustability of the product, but I think more attention needs to be paid to packaging and an instruction added into the box.

The idea is great but I wish they had made the buckled a little less bulky. Getting the belt on and off is tricky and problematic specially when you need to take it off in a hurry! Otherwise the mechanism works OK. I am giving it a 3 star rating because of its cost and that it is not optimally the perfect belt in its class (I liked the SideBelts mechanism better) and the quality of the leather which looks and feels more like rubber than leather. I am keeping the ones I bought because I already cut the belts to size.

It was easy to cut to length with a sharp pair of scissors, just make sure the end is cut squarely and then it snaps right into the buckle. The ratcheting system has a small lever underneath and like any ratchet you sometimes have to release tension if it was fastened too tightly (just pull on the end that is through the belt loop). It looks great, I wear it with my dress pants most days. I'm glad I discovered this belt, I will probably get a few more colors.Nice product Anson!
