ATD Tools 3545 A/C System Flush Kit

I purchased this item to use to flush out some AC system parts. It did that ok, but tends to use a lot of rather expensive AC flush fluid for mediocre results. I now just tend to replace contaminated parts instead of trying to flush them.That being said, this kit makes a fantastic tool for filling transmissions and differentials with oil. I've suffered from trying to use hand pumps for years to fill the various drivetrain parts under my cars. I've always made a mess and ended up with sore arms. Today when I was working on changing the differential and transfer case oils in my truck I had a bright idea- use this thing! It holds a quart of gear oil. I filled it with GL5 and pressurized it, there is plenty of hose to reach and the nozzle fits right in the oil filler opening. I was able to fill my fluids quickly without spilling a drop. It dispenses the oil in a nice steady stream without spraying it or dribbling.

What I received is exactly what is pictured. It is charged like a tire stem - does not have a direct fitting for an air compressor (as at least one other reviewer thought it did/should have). It works great, especially for occasional use - I don't think it is meant to be a professional tool. Expect to have to recharge the pressure a few times, but this is a quick task. It did the job it was intended for, and one of these days I'll try that differential/tranny refill idea someone else posted!

Had to modify it to accept an air fitting at the top. It would not fill with air as sent! Also mine came with a cut o'ring. After I replaced the o'ring and put an air fitting on the top it work great.

The item used by amazon is NOT the same item you will recieve, it is the same as a cheaper version with the air input at the top and the hose attached at the bottom. Since I need it I'm going to try it out but if I wanted this style I would of bought the EXACT same one for 20% less from amazon. My guess is I will end up returning this one as it won't be functional to use when compaired to the style of design in the picture (also pictured design will be stronger and withstand more abuse).

This flush bottle is needed for a/c work, as such I bought it. Amazon's discount is good, and this bottle seems to be among the best of those available. I sure can't imagine why the price needs to be so high for such a simple set-up.

works very well, have used it for more than a/c flushing. very good tool
