The best men’s hair product!
This is THE best mens hair product I have ever used. Not sticky, doesn’t make hairs clump together to look wet AND the style stays in place. My hair still looks great at the end of the work day … without feeling stiff. The scent is great too. This is the only product I’ve found that has dry shampoo added in. I think that’s the secret

Simply the best hair product available
I may have written a review on this hair wax in the past, but it really is the best hair product I have ever used. I have been using Hanz de Fuko products for 7-8 years, trying every version of product they sell and I love them all. Quicksand is my go to because it is truly a matte finish...it's made of sand so you can imagine, but it holds everything in place all day. No fibers, like other products. It's very creamy with a slight sandy feel, which makes your hair dry out too. Overall, the best.

Grainy but holds very well.
I use a clay or paste daily. This brand has a great hold with the formula allowing for wet hair to dry properly in place without the “wet look”. Hold last all day very easily and allow allows for easy manipulation throughout the day for the look that you’re looking for. I would recommend this product very easily and love the fact that the scent is very very light. A little bit goes a very long way and a tub of this would last many many months maybe even a year. Gives your hair a slight grainy feel and it works very well. Works well with dyed hair.

Great for short hair
Great product! Good hold with a texturizing end result, has a sandy feel to it that works great in my thick hair.

A hair luxury item
Keeps hair in place. Nice smell. Not oily. Expensive.

Just the Right Balance of Hold and Ease of Application
I have used the Aveda men's grooming clay for years and recently moved to Highland because of some ads that said it was awesome. Turns out that that I was missing with Aveda was longevity. The Aveda product simply disappeared when I got hot, or it was very humid, or it rained a little. Basically any moisture would make it simply disappear. I wanted something with better hold, and I didn't know until I tried something else. However, the Highland glacial clay is the polar opposite. It is made of wax and it is very sticky. Not only does it stay on your hair, but you have to rub it off your hands with a towel because soap and water have no effect on it. Also, I would pull out my hair when putting it on. Once I put it on my hair, my hair was flat and that was the way it stayed. It was simply too much. I was staring right down on the Goldilocks problem, so I did what everyone does in 2024, I conducted an online search, developed a list of candidates, and read reviews. I was stumped with several products, so I decided to buy the most popular one--Quicksand. This stuff is just right. It goes on pretty easily without pulling my hair out. Like Highland, you have to warm it up in your hands, but this is more clay and less wax. It lasts all day no matter the weather. It does not look slick, shiny, or greasy. Like the name implies, it leaves your hair dry looking. I put it on when my hair is barely damp. It makes my already thin hair a little flat at first. But over the morning, my hair rises to the desired look. Unlike Aveda or Highland, if the wind blows my hair, for example, I can run my hand through my hair without destroying the hold or the look. Sometimes when i first get up in the morning, my hair is like Doc Brown from Back to the Future, but all I have to do is push it back down and I'm good until I shower and start all over again. I don’t know what the "dry shampoo" thing is about, and I almost did not buy it because that was in the title. I would recommend that you give this a shot unless you want the slick or shiny look. See if you agree.

Quality Control Issue
I've used this product since 2019. I've loved it and never had any issues until my last two orders. Some orders are a yellow tinted color and are very greasy. Something must be wrong with quality control, because the product doesn't hold the same or leave the same matte texture as the tan, dry normal ones. It has been become frustrating to order because I have to hope I recieve a good batch.

I love and hate this product
I really love the hold and feel of this product. I have hair that quickly becomes oily and the dry shampoo in this product does wonders at battling the oiliness. This product has a very light - almost non-existent - hold to it, and if my hair isn't already in the shape I want it to be after blow-drying, this product isn't going to work wonders to get my hair shaped a different way. Don't expect this product to lay down your troublesome hairs that stick out. The downside to this product is that it is just absolutely awful to wash out. As soon as I get in the shower and wet my hair, my hair feels like damaged crap. It typically can take me shampooing my hair 2 or 3 times in the same shower to get this product completely out of my hair, and if I don't use conditioner after then my hair feels incredibly damaged. So the pros, if you have oily hair, this will prevent that from happening nearly all day long. But it's difficult to wash out and can leave your hair feeling extremely damaged after showering.

Doesn’t meet expectations

Hanz de Fuko Quicksand definitely feels like a premium product. The texture is dense and smooth, lacking the wet, heavy feel that often comes with clays or putties, and the added dry shampoo feature means your hair feels far less greasy than with similar products. That said, this isn’t a budget-friendly option, so you’ll need to decide if the price is worth it for you. It’s not the quickest styling product – if you’re after something easy to throw in and go, this might not be ideal. But if you want a firm hold, less shine, and that refreshing dry-shampoo effect, Quicksand is worth a look.

If there is any product that holds your hair in place, easy to remove, organic and works fabulously well on thin hairs, it's hanz de fuko quicksand. Amazing product
