⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Effortless Smart Living – So Good, I Bought It Twice!
This is my second purchase of the Kasa Smart Light Switch, and it’s easily one of my favorite smart home upgrades! What I love most is how seamlessly it integrates with my phone and Alexa—no hub required. Whether I'm out and about or already tucked into bed, I can control my lights with a simple voice command or a quick tap on my phone.I'm notorious for forgetting to turn off lights at night, and this switch has saved me countless trips out of bed. Now, I just ask Alexa and it's done. The installation was a breeze—practically plug and play—and setting up schedules for each switch is just as simple. If you're looking for an easy, reliable, and affordable way to smarten up your home, this is it. Highly recommend!

I highly suggest these for disabled or seeing impaired people
As a disabled person, sometimes it’s hard for me to walk across the room to flip on a lamp. I use these and plug my lamp in to them, and then I just tell Alexa to turn on the light. I have found a couple of other uses for them, such as “turn on a fan”.A plug-in the item and I turn it on. Then I tell Alexa to turn the item on or off. I highly recommend these for anyone who has a hard time getting around or walking or who is visually impaired.

Easy to install; intuitive app
Easiest set up for these smart plugs. Downloaded the app, created an account and programmed all 4 using a suitable, easy to reach outlet. Once done with setup, firmware updates and the timing schedules for On/Off were created via the app (super easy and intuitive), I then transferred each one to their final destination. Easy Peasy! I had 4 up and running within 10 minutes. One note worthy of mention: on the outside of the box it will list if one uses Wifi or bluetooth to connect and setup. I assumed it was Wifi (as done with previous and now discarded defunct belkin plugs). I was wrong! Bluetooth was a sanp!

Makes life easier
I love the ease of programming with these. I have used one for my Christmas tree, and I also use them on my fish tank to program the lights and filter when I am away. It gives so much peace of mind being able to control things while I am away

Fantastic switches! Bye bye WeMo
These switches are perfect! Compact, quick to respond and integrated perfectly with my Google Home setup. I had a bunch of WeMo switches in my setup and replaced them with these now that WeMo has announced they are ending their support for their products. I have one of these turning on and off a large, power hungry prosumer ECM espresso machine each morning and it work perfectly. Highly recommended!

Great works better than Wemo
These are great. They are much smaller than the Wemos i've used and the connectivity works much better. Works great with Alexa and it's own app. We use these for holiday lights and outdoor decorations along with most of our lights. Since Wemo is also discontinuing support we bought another pack during Prime day.

HomeKit-Compatible in Name Only – Frustrating, Inconsistent, and Not Worth the Trouble
I bought the TP-Link Kasa EP25 smart plugs specifically because they are advertised as HomeKit-compatible and support energy monitoring. I expected a seamless Apple Home experience, but what I got instead was an ongoing exercise in frustration.Let me start by saying: I'm not new to smart home setups. I have a fully functional Apple HomeKit environment where other devices (sensors, lights, locks) connect and perform flawlessly. Unfortunately, the EP25 plugs don't live up to the promise of "Works with Apple HomeKit."Setup NightmareThe setup process is clunky and unreliable. You're required to install the Kasa app, scan a HomeKit QR code, and hope it pairs. Most of the time, it fails with generic messages like "Accessory Not Found" or "Unable to Add." I followed all TP-Link's instructions—resetting the plug, updating firmware, rebooting my iPhone, toggling Wi-Fi, etc. Still no luck. I managed to get one plug to work temporarily, but what about the others? Total failures. There's even a bizarre workaround suggested online: leave the plug plugged in for 10+ minutes until it exits HomeKit pairing mode so you can bypass HomeKit and just use the Kasa app. That's how broken this setup is."No Response" Errors DailyThe one plug that did connect to Apple Home worked fine for a day or two… then began showing "No Response" in the Home app every morning. I'd have to unplug it and plug it back in just to control it again. Meanwhile, it still showed up fine in the Kasa app. So clearly, the problem is in how the plug communicates with HomeKit, not my network or Wi-Fi.From reading other reviews and forum threads, this is not an isolated issue. It's a widespread, long-standing flaw in how TP-Link integrates with HomeKit. There are mentions of firmware updates making things worse, not better. TP-Link's advice mostly boils down to "reset everything and try again."Misleading FeaturesDon't be fooled by "energy monitoring" on the box; Apple Home can't display energy usage. That only works in the Kasa app. So if you bought this expecting to track power consumption through HomeKit, you'll be disappointed. Also worth noting: You must install and keep using the Kasa app (and create an account) for firmware updates or advanced settings, even if you only plan to use HomeKit. If you're trying to avoid third-party apps or account creation, this isn't the plug for you.Bottom LineThe EP25 is an unreliable mess for HomeKit users. Setup is frustrating, daily disconnections are maddening, and the energy features don't work with Apple Home. I've returned the non-working units and will likely return the one that did "work" too, because I can't trust it.If you're building a HomeKit ecosystem, do yourself a favor and skip this plug. Look for options that use Thread or Matter. They're far more stable and reliable. Until TP-Link fixes its HomeKit implementation (or Apple drops certification), this product is little more than a paperweight with a blinking LED.

Flawless
These plugs have really made my life easier. I am handicapped and getting in and out of the recliner to turn on a light or anything else that's plugged in is a big effort. Now I can have fun doing it from my phone. My wife put lighted Christmas decorations all over the living and dining rooms for me, and I have fun amazing the grandkids by turning them on and off from my chair. Just download the Kasa app and away you go.
