Amazingly good
We have a 2005 Fleetwood diesel pusher. Our propane/electric Dometic side by side unit was constantly freezing up in the fridge section. I had to defrost almost every week. I tried to find a replacement fridge, but none fit. I read about these fans on RV sites thinking there was nothing to lose. It's made a HUGE a difference. I just returned from a 30-day trip. With the fan going, I did not defrost even once. I kept the fan on the top shelf near the metal fins. While I know the battery won't last as long in very cold, I ordered a second one for the freezer. The fan totally works if placed properly. The filter is a nice alternative to the separate baking soda I had been using. Well worth the price.

Nifty Fridge Fan
This is definitely a must have for RV fridges and freezers. Lasts for a couple of months on one battery and we noticed a huge difference once we put these in our camper fridge and freezer. It has really helped keep the temperature more constant throughout the whole fridge.

Good but not perfect
First off mine would not work out of the box. I am an electronics and mechanical technician and I could see it was an easy fix for me but maybe not for others. In my case the fan (squirrel cage type) was touching the front of the case preventing the fan from spinning. It was easy to tell as should be able to spin it freely with your finger. Basically it was just not pushed onto the shaft of the motor far enough. I simply took a house key and pushed from the front until it just barely moved (maybe 1/64") and it was then free to spin.As for people having issues with batteries not fitting (not being able to close the case) understand that some batteries are slightly longer than others, mine fit fine and was easy to install the batteries and close the case.Yes it's made cheaply. It is made in the U.S. but people want cheaper and cheaper so companies must skimp out on quality to produce at a sellable price. If this were a high quality item is would be $40 not $17.I can't speak for battery life as I am on my first set but I only expect them to last a few weeks at best. After this set I may convert it to a wall wart power supply or maybe even solar. I am using it in my home in a mini fridge so I have AC all the time unlike a motorhome.

Really works
This really helps circulate the cold air around our 3 way fridge. And the battery life is good! Nice addition to our camping supplies.

Does not work out of the box !
Other than being made from seemingly UN-ROBUST materials this fan - fresh out of the box - failed to spin with fresh batteries. Tried three sets of batteries and fan still failed to spin. A little help to the squirrel cage wheel failed to help. Fan turned manually but extremely stiff and with too much resistance for the motor to spin.Headed to the trash sadly. Replacement is not worth the cost of air freight.Support site worthless and self guided troubleshooting an absolute insult. Be warned. Better to buy in person and test it in the store.Sorry Amazon. This product is a loser.

the fan is stopping after being in the mini fridge for a few minutes like the friction is causing it to stop
Very cheaply made. Mine makes a constant rattling noise where I think the cheap plastic fan wheel is rubbing on something. I'm worried that it will not last that long when the fan wheel breaks apart or the tiny motor fails from the friction. Also, the fan is stopping after being in the mini fridge for a few minutes like the friction is causing it to stop. If I give the wheel a nudge, it starts back up again. I suppose the friction, if I can get it to continuously run, will deplete the batteries faster. Good idea, cheap execution. Should sell for no more than $5. Maybe I just received a dud.Update: July 8 2018 - I returned the fan for a replacement. Amazon sent the new fan in 2 days. The new fan doesn't make a noise like the old one and seems to be operating fine. I did discover that the old fan made the worst noise when the exhaust is pointing upward. It made less noise when on its one side. It made no noise on the other side. So, I just got a bad unit. I am happy with the replacement, so far. I had to place the fan on its side in the top freezer of the mini fridge to get it cold enough on the bottom shelf. Placing it one the bottom shelf or in the bottom of the door doesn't really work very well. The top shelf of the mini fridge was cold (36 degrees F) but the bottom shelf remained 10 degrees warmer. With the fan placed in the freezer, the bottom shelf is around 42 degrees F. Maybe I need a second fan for the bottom to make the temperature even throughout?

This fan ended my problems with food freezing in my fridge
This little fan has been very helpful with stopping items from freezing in my fridge. My biggest problem was items freezing on the top shelf. I know that doesn't make sense because warm air rises, but that's the area closest to the ice maker. I put the little fan up there. I also bought 2 rechargeable batteries and a charger. I change the batteries out every 2 days. It's quite a handy little setup to stop things from freezing.

Really good product
This airator works very well in my RV fridge. We were having issues with the back wall of the fridge freezing up with the fluxuation of warm air and air conditioned air. We put this in the fridge and it really helped to solve the problem. It helps if you don't overload your fridge and I move the airator around every few days.Good product. Small but mighty

Made no difference between top and bottom fridge temps
Before I had this I had a 5c difference between the top and bottom areas of the fridge. I used a usb hand fan in there before I ordered this item and the top and bottom were in sync by 1c. When it arrived I replaced the hand held fan with this item and in the morning the difference was back up to 5c. Useless! Returned to Amazon.

Hit it if the fan doesn't spin when you first get it. The fan sticks at first.
When we got this it didn't work immediately. We saw someone else suggested that you hit it with your hand a few times and it will start working. I guess the fan gets stuck. We did that and it started working and worked fantastically ever since. We use it to stop our RV fridge icing up and it works very well. So glad we purchased this fan.

Great product - helps greatly in distributing cold right around entire caravan fridge, also helps stopping the fins icing up as well

Does What It's Designed To Do...
Quick Review:So this does exactly what it's supposed to do...move air around your fridge. Some reviewers seem to think you need tornado like winds or something lol. There's no question that the output is not the strongest (it's pretty gentle) but just how much wind do you think is needed in a small enclosed space? Air is pretty light after all.Construction is all plastic and definitely on the cheaper side so do note that. The D batteries last at least 2-3 weeks if left on.Like that the new version which includes an on / off switch and a replaceable carbon pack.I keep mine at the bottom to help move cold air up but I also use a fridge vent fan to keep the fins from frosting up. The combination works great.
