Drive Medical Folding Universal Sliding Transfer Bench

The release latch for this is under the seat and basically between the legs, uncomfortable to get hold of and maneuver the seat whether you are the bather, or the guy trying to help your mom get in the tub. If it wasn't suggested by the nurse for her surgery it would be going back for that reason. Otherwise it seems ok, and a great idea, but not for a heavier person. Find it hard to believe this would work well for anyone over 180lb.

Overall, this product is good. My wife can now have a shower.Because our bathroom is small and the toilet is next to the bath, we figured out that we have to have the back of the chair against the hot/cold water controls so my wife is facing the other way. Otherwise, there was not enough room for her to sit down and raise her legs up when she slides across the bath.Second thing was the rubber feet on the side that goes into the bath were about 4 inches in diameter which, because the bath is curved as most batch are, it meant it would not go all the way into the bath, the chair was still protruding over the side of the bath.So, to fix this, i unscrewed the two rubber feet, bought two slip on ones that are a lot smaller from home depot and fitted them. The transfer bench now fits further into the bath and the chair no long sticks out of the edge.Other suggestions to the manufacturer, try making the legs more snug to the slide, they still stick out or make them so they can slide into the frame.A clip in piece of Perspex on the side where the bath is would be great in order to help reduce the amount of water going on the floor, the shower curtain has to be lifted up and pushed around and over the frame.Otherwise, it works great. I would still recommend this product, its light, and the legs fold in for storage.

My mom loves this bench. Super helpful, easy to use. The removable tray never sits right, always in the wrong spot so we don’t use it at all. The suction cup came off one leg about a month after purchase and Amazon had to refund me the cost of a replacement part because it wasn’t available from Drive. We don’t fold it ever, not sure how much I’d trust that it will fold up for storage.

I had no problems with this transfer bench.Set-up was a breeze.I am glad I purchased this one instead of the ones where you have to move yourself across the bench.High quality,Highly recommend

Very stable and easy to use. I love the ability to fold it up and take it on travels.Comfortable seat glides easily and locks into position. Much easier to use with shower curtain than my last one.Happy customer, great purchase.
