Unfortunately, I found after I received this adapter that the mini display plug on it does not fit the mini display port on my tablet. Although the product page at Amazon does not currently state such, this adapter seems to be only compatible with Mac computers, from what I can tell.I don’t personally have a Mac, but we do have a couple of them at work, one of which is used by the sales team for demos. I plugged the adapter into this Mac and connected it to the HDTV that they use for software demos, and it did work very well with it.The adapter is a nice option because you can use whatever length HDMI cable you need. I imagine that is especially nice at home, where the television may be across the room.Until I received this adapter, I was not aware that there was more than one type of mini display port, and the product page does not specify a type for this or I may have investigated further before ordering it.If you have a Mac with a mini display port, this is a good option for you. You plug in one end to a mini display port, and the other side is an HDMI port so that you can connect your MacBook to a screen that uses an HDMI cable.
