Solid set of tongs, all metal
Solid set of tongs, it's pretty much machine made, nothing that can come apart. I will deduct 1 star because the ends of the tong, the grippers which are also solid metal are not properly aligned, meaning the serrated surfaces do not fully touch, so if you are not careful, whatever you are holding, can slip out of the grip.

Replaces a potholder….
Great item. When using an air fryer, this works so much better than an a pit holder.

Love this and I am getting ready to order a second one
This works great for removing hot banking pans and other hot items from my oven. Own one and will be purchasing a second one for our RV

Back to basics, no frills, does exactly what you need it to do
I have a bunch of ddookbaegis and this tool works well for moving them when they're hot. I have two sizes and both work well with this tool. I also have two idea pots that have lost their handles over time and these work well. I think in terms of how well they grip this particular tool really depends on your hand stretch. It'll hold as long as your hand strength can hold it. It's not like other tools that have springs or locks. If your hands aren't strong enough then they won't hold the weight of what you're trying to hold.
