Not as secure as it should be.
This is excellent to use with the compatible TomTom device as you can magnetically pop it on and off, however the clip does not always stay clipped to the air vent - actually, it slides off of the vent pretty easily considering it is holding a decently weighted device. It would work a lot better if the clip bit was a bit longer and had some small hook or something to hook onto the inside of the air vent. As it is, you can clamp down the pinching, rubber coated bit onto your air vent as hard as you like, but it eventually starts to wiggle itself loose.
