Really tasty high fibre snack
I was looking for snack foods that would add extra fibre to my diet and discovered these ration bars. They also contain a decent amount of protein.I've tried this flavour and the passionfruit and love both of them. They satisfy my sweet tooth and are filling. They are quite chewy which I hadn't initially expected, but I really like the texture as it makes them last longer and feel more substantial. They are also reasonably priced compared to some of the others currently on the market.

Apple and Rhubarb flavour
Nice flavour, quite a substantial snack and the yoghurt is nice and thick. At the price of review the 'bars' work out to be £1 each which is quite expensive in my opinion for what you get.Title also states 'Diabetic Sweets' i mean at 11g of sugar per bar it isn't what i would call Diabetic friendly. This is quite misleading as its actually about 3g of sugar less than 4 Belvita biscuits. Ok its less calories overall but i wouldn't quite call them diabetic 'friendly'.That being said they are a good snize for lunchboxes and keeping in the car so bonus points for that.

Tasty and (somewhat) healthy oat bars
I hadn't heard of the brand Ration before checking out these snack bars and with a name like that I was somewhat sceptical as to what kind of product I was going to end up with - something tasteless and lacking a few ingredients? The good news is that I need not have worried. These bars are attractive, both in terms of their individually wrapped packaging and then the layer of yoghurt that they are coated with on the outside. Taste wise, you've got a great combination of chewy oats and fruit with in this case rhubarb going all the way through to provide some zing. They are a little tough at times but large enough to be filling.Overall then, these are some great oat bars to have as a snack.

Quite nice
I've shared these with a few people to gauge their opinions and, in general, they've responded positively. In fact I'm probably the one that has enjoyed them the least! That's not to say that I don't like them - I do - just that my tastes veer more towards nuts, chocolate and caramel than zingy fruit. They certainly are 'zingy', with a sharp tang, that is helped along by the yoghurt coating. Inside the bar is soft and chewy, rather than the flaky, oaty experience I was expecting. You will find the occasional whole oat kernel, which gives it a bit more bite.I suppose the best appraisal I can give, is that I keep coming back for more! I would have liked to have seen a more Earth-friendly wrapper than the plastic/foil that these come in.

Wholesome tangy treat
With 30% of the ingredients being apple, 10% oats and about 3% rhubarb these yoghurt coated bars feel like a healthy snack item. Shame to see palm oil on the list of ingredients, but there's a reasonable amount of protein inside each bar. The chicory root fibre and the oat kernels give the bars quite a complex texture and the overall flavour is reminiscent of rhubarb and custard boiled sweets which in my book is no bad thing. In total 19% of the bar can be called 'fibre' and that's pretty good going. All in all a good hunger buster and not too sweet.
