EXCELLENT SOUND

Strictly for the died in wool US Bonds fan.............lots of filler stuff along with the usual 6 or 7 hits. Sound quality was no different that "the very best of Gary US Bonds" single disc release.

This is probably the best Bonds compilation out there at the moment. You get his complete Legrand output from 1960-1962, whch means the singles (A and B sides) plus the first 2 albums. Also included are bonus tracks by the Church Street Five who backed him on most of his hits. Good, informative liner notes too. Sound quality is top-notch. Worth buying.

Not sure if it's the mastering or just the limits of the original source recordings but the sound on this release is thin and at times static. However, Bond's energy and vocal prowess show through and make evident he was a singer who should receive more due.

Great classic recordings at a knock down price from perhaps the last great 50's style rock'n'roller.

Cds from this guy are hard to get hold off especially certain tracks ,this has made an old man very happy
