I would recommend that anyone interested in dogs and or law enforcement read this book. Also, for anyone who loves our country.

What a captivating read! This book provides amazing insight into the work these hero’s perform. What a sacrifice they give on a daily basis requiring commitment by both the canines and canine handlers! So grateful for their dedication, especially when called to join the search and rescue efforts after 9/11 in NYC!!! Recommend this book to everyone interested in learning what is involved in training and working with K9 heros. Definitely a book you can reread. Thank you Mr. Wank for your sacrifice and sharing such personal experiences with all of us! Thank you Aris for your bravery and commitment!

This was well written about the bond between a K-9 Handler and his partner. The love and the trust between them. It has humor, sadness and love. It gives you a first hand experience of 9/11 from a first responder. It is definitely worth the read

Great read! I know the author personally so it was even more meaningful. Aris, the dog, has been to my elementary school many times with Bob Wank sharing his stories with all our student body. All his life experiences and adventures are true and heroic!!

This book first off explains the training and talents of search dogs and their relationship with their partner. It goes further to show how important these relationships of trust and skill played in the search and rescue at the 9/11 site. Heroes come in many sizes!

I was expecting a touching story through a K9 officer's point of view of 9/11 -- but what I wasn't expecting was a deeply thoughtful, well-written and in-depth look at the entire K9 experience from his human partner's point of view.This is a must-read for anyone who wants to have an appreciation for this incredible service and occupation. It's great for kids and students who are considering entering law enforcement - I had no idea that this path was available. And a fantastic book for anyone interested in search and recovery ... especially poignant due to the recent Florida condo collapse.The relationship between Aris and his partner Bob is very unique and special - don't miss this book!
