This M1 howitzer (later renamed M114) model is an important addition to any collection of US towed artillery for the WWII, Korea, or Vietnam wars. This howitzer requires a crew of 11; and 6 representative figures are included in the kit. (These figures are virtually identical to the Master Box #MB3577 US Artillery Crew.) These figures are molded in WWII uniforms, but I painted them in Vietnam era uniform colors for a Vietnam war collection.Likes: This model has high detail without excessive complexity. The model can be easily converted between travel mode or firing mode for display. The included crew of 6 is a nice touch for a panorama.Dislikes: This model is molded in gray plastic, so every part needs to be painted. If you don't have an air-brush or sprayer, and paint by hand (as I did), this easily quadruples the assembly time. No powder bags or ammo boxes are included.

The model was good except for the figures that were add on to the howitzer. They had fit issues with helmets. The heads are nicely designed but to large or helmets to small. Had to cut down heads. I think the helmets are 1/35 scale but the figures are a slightly different scale. This is noticeable when compared to other 1/35 scale figures.The howitzer is good with little fit problems. Can be configured in firing or travel position.

Nothing broken but box crushed.
