After a few weeks I've used this glove enough to know it's strengths and weaknesses. It is a little loose and bulky but I haven't had an oven glove yet that wasn't so I'm going to beg to differ with some of the other reviewers who complain about that. It does NOT slip off my hand if I hang it down and I'm not a big person and don't have big hands - (wear a size 5.5 ring) BUT - I have had hot pans burn my thumb on two occasions when pulling them out - maybe it was just the angle I was holding the pan at, but I'm not as impressed as I had hoped I'd be. Bottom line is that it is a very nice glove that is up to most tasks, but it's not perfect!

I have had many oven mitts in my lifetime, and never one to this quality. I have very big hand and arms and find it hard to get them in most mitts, but they fit fine in these, and my wife with the little itty bitty hands could use them as well. I have an Advantium oven and the pans in that get very, very hot. The mitts that I had worked great until I got this oven, and now it was all I ccould do to get the pans out of the oven. The new mitt does this with no problem. The part where you grab the pans is 3-4 times thicker than the rest of the mitt. These are rated by the NSF for commercial use. I know that they are costlier than others, but when you see how great they are, you will know that you made a wise purchase. I am ordering another one for the other hand. Had to make sure they were worth the money before buying the second one. They are.

The puppet style is perfect for "lefties" like me and these mitts are well worth the price! I've been using a pair of Kool-Tek mitts in a shorter style for many years and decided to treat myself to another pair in the longer version. They are nice to have when reaching into the oven or working around the grill. I highly recommend them!

This is a great oven glove. I got one for my mom for mother's day, and it was so amazing I got another for myself. I can even work with the cast iron pan, taking it in and out of the oven at 550 degrees (yeah, pizza!), and not feel any heat. I also like how the glove is longer than most others, so you don't get any of those accidental forearm burns.

These are excellent for preventing burns, but they are very thick and a bit big and unwieldy, so not great for grabbing something small and on the fly. With time, they'll become more flexible, but I still reach for small potholders first, saving these for big roasting pans. Also, while the magnet might be fine if you want to connect them to your stove, they tend to hook onto pans, so can be kind of a pain. I'm going to cut the magnets off (and keep them in a drawer).
