Works Great!
I have an odd computer setup. I have a tower PC that connects to a TV and a Mac book laptop. The speakers I use are literal big stereo speakers I bought over 15 years ago. So my PC is for gaming and my Mac is for work. That being said, I wanted to be able to use my nice, but old, stereo speakers on BOTH computers without having to constantly fiddling with the cables. I tried an audio cable splitter but the sound output was off. my Mac would be fine, but my PC would be way to quite, even on max sound output. So I tried this audio switcher and it works great! I am able to easily and quickly switch between my PC and my Mac for sound and the switcher has a volume dial on it too which i never thought I would use, but I actually use it quite a bit with all the annoying audio level variants on different youtube channels. It works great! The only downside is that since this is a SWITCHER, I cannot have both my PC and Mac playing audio at the same time. I knew this when purchasing it and it was a hesitation for me getting the switcher, but in the end, I am really glad I got it.

THIS is the one you want to get. Trust me.
THIS is what I wanted when I was looking for a way to switch my headphones between two laptops, both running high-end audio editing/sequencing programs. I actually bought two different ones, the other came a day earlier and I was bummed because I didn’t think to order a 1/8”(3.5mm) male to male audio jack cable. I had one, but would need another to run from the output jacks on both MacBooks, into the box and my headphones into the front. The first box was relatively sleek, minimalist and has two small buttons on top, marked 1 & 2. It’s also very light as it’s made of plastic, but seemed to do the job. Then THIS one arrived today. First thing I noticed upon opening it was a high quality, woven covered audio jack cable. The next thing I noticed was the box itself. It is about half the size of what was already a pretty small (to me) splitter, but was made entirely of a durable, matte black metal. It has a great, solid feel and heft to it, there’s two small buttons on the top of the box, one on either side of a raised black, aluminum volume knob. One button allows you to switch between inputs and the other mutes all channels. This is just a really good mash-up of form and function. Worth every penny of its very inexpensive price!

Works, easily change your output channel
I use this to switch between headset and loudspeakers, and it works. I do get slight disturbance in one of the channels if the volume is loud, but could also be my cables.Overall product is what I was looking for. Easy audio switch from 1 input channel to 2 output channels.

Simple, cool little audio tool
Bought this to switch the audio from two desktop computers through a single set of speakers. Simple hook up, works perfectly, and I like have the volume control knob right at hand. Just what I needed at a great price.

Works great for controlling volume between my PC and powered speakers
Purchased this to replace the little puck volume control for my Monsoon speakers which finally died.It works probably better than the original from sound quality/attenuation perspective (not sure why people complain about attenuation issues?). It's pretty heavy - a good thing from a usability perspective as it sits on my desk.I appreciated that it came with a cable (albeit a bit to short for my application).Volume knob provides full range control (note that I'm using amplified speakers rather than a headphones)My only complaints:-as a desktop volume control, having input and output ports on same side of box would be more ergonomic and clean mounting than its design of inputs on one side and output on the other.-Mute button introduces an unpleasant hum during mute. Fortunately I just use the input switch button as I'm not using the other input for anything yet, and this is very silent. I may try to find a way to fix this.
