What is the *precise* diameter? in mm. I have found anything 300mm or more makes it hard to pick up the records (I end up grabbing the mat)

11 3/4 inches or 298.45 mm whereas a 12 inch record is 299 mm or 11 7/8

Does anyone clean theirs? Is there a recommended process?

I have not cleaned mine as the turntable is always covered...but it certainly could be cleaned if only rinsed off. It will not absorb water.
