Huge. I would say it's just like I remember but in the 70s I only had two small ones brand new. The mighty dump I had a long with the mighty crane I got very used, dented, battered and rusty, salvaged from trash and was still thrilled to have them.I opted for this one instead of the more expensive one with a little more steel which is still not the same as original.It is awesome. The plastic parts are thick and designed with ....for lack of better words...braces and buttresses to make it super sturdy. I think this is a fine product for anyone. A kid, teen, adult....A lot of the thin or sharp under pieces are now plastic so...hey.... less chances of tetanus or cuts.This morning I cought the cat asleep in the bed but couldn't get a pic fast enough.To people who say things like....four months later they were starting to rust and paint was peeling....guess what....that's also what happened to the ones in the 1970s left outside. The old ones may have rusted more over the decades but scratched steel rusts period. I think a prime reason we left them outside is they're just huge. I know my mom refused to let me bring in the rusty, muddy, dented things.At this price point it's even a nice nostalgic gift for someone in their 50s or 60s. Load it with old fashioned candy and gift it. Will absolutely bring happiness.No need to complain it isn't the exact same. Most things are not 55 years later but THIS is a very fine modern rendition that is absolutely HUGE. Even I had forgotten exactly how big these things are to hold.Get one.

Nicely made very durable

Gave this to my 2 year old son on his birthday, he loves it and plays with it every day. It is indeed, heavy duty. He likes us to push him around it in like his own personal chariot! We haven't brought it outside yet, but I assume this will end up being used outside all summer long. I wish it was all metal, but it is mostly plastic, with the main area of the dump being made of metal, I knew this when I bought it, though . Seems to be well made, and I expect it to hold up well for a while. If you're looking for a toy that will be well loved by a 2-5 year old, you can't go wrong with a dump truck!

This truck is a heavily fought over by my 3 and 5 year old, which I feel is the ultimate compliment. This truck is extremely durable as I don’t know that any toy has been smashed into things more than this one. The truck isn’t particularly noisy itself. However, when my children are running with it at full force on the ground and the wheels are going that quickly, it can get a little loud. But it’s well worth it! The boys think the winch on the front is so fun and they use it to haul around all kinds of things. It’s very sweet. It was a great gift, is a great size, and is well built. I would definitely purchase again.

The media could not be loaded. This is a great size for a two year old whose obsession is cars and construction equipment. The details are amazing and vibrant. The color is stunning and like most construction equipment. Love that it’s metal and plastic, will hopefully last us a long time. It’s light enough that the kiddos can play with it and enjoy their time vs lung around something heavy. It did take some getting used to. Knowing what knob does what and how to get it to move. It can be a bit tricky to move at times, sticky almost. We got all when they were on deal and some family got on deal as well, so the price was great for size, quality and material. I cannot wait to get more and add to our collection. These are a lot of fun that even my husband gets down and plays with them.ProsLarger than diecast cars like much larger. Great size. I honestly loved the quality of this item. It seemed well made. The truck is heavy which shows that the materials used weren’t so light. The size is big enough for my 2 years old to sit on and ride (I don’t know why he loves doing that). I definitely gave this the 5 stars because of the sturdiness.There’s not much anything else

I bought this as a gift for my grandson (3) for Christmas and I cannot tell you how much he loves this dump truck! He plays with it every day. He hauls all of his toys all over the house with it. He even sits in the back of it and rolls himself across the floor!I was walking through a local store when I was the Tonka Truck, and knew I wanted to buy him one. I picked it up and after walking around a bit decided I wanted to look on Amazon to compare the prices. I found it for at least $10 cheaper on Amazon and instantly bought it. I am so glad I did.If you aren't familiar with Tonka Trucks, let me tell you they are fantastic quality toys. They are made mostly of metal, and the parts that are plastic are still high quality material. They last forever! The metal isn't sharp so it is great for kids or all ages. My grandson weighs about 30 pounds and this little truck as no problem hauling him around.It arrived when it said it would, and was well packaged.
