Jensen JCR-210 AM/FM Dual-Alarm Clock Radio

Love the big easy to read digits. I also like the ability to adjust the brightness of the display. May be too many features or a little complicated for some users. But if you want multiple sounds and alarm settings, this alarm clock will definitely fit the bill.

This clock does everything it is advertised to do! For the life of me-I can't figure out how to disable the alarms when you don't need them. The instructions on setting things up are clear, but I guess I'm not as smart as the clock since I can't disable the alarms! The sound isn't amazing, but for the price point it's good enough.

Pros: The clock numbers are large and bright enough and the brightness can be dimmed down: a good thing. I managed to set the time and figured how to use the radio and the natural sounds, which I wanted to use on my travels. CONS: BUT, the volume at its highest number #20, is BARELY audible. I cannot hear the music or the nature sounds. The alarm certainly would NOT work as the volume at the highest setting is so so low. This volume is comparable to a person whispering. If I cannot hear this radio, what purpose does it serve. I am returning this major disappointment.

The things I like: the green numerals are easy to see and read; the brightness of numerals can be adjusted; the radio has decent sound and stations can be easily accessed; compact size (doesn’t take up a lot of room on bedside table. The things I don’t like: setting the two alarms is unwieldy; the settings are difficult to save and apparently cannot be turned off unless the alarm has sounded; the off/on button for the unit and the alarm off/on button are the same but must be pushed at different positions; alarms must be reset each time they are used. Overall, this clock-radio is a disappointment. The price is decent but the functionality does not meet my needs. I’m using it until I can replace it with a unit that functions better my needs.

This compact radio is perfect for the space I have. I was specifically looking for a radio that played white noise. The white noise sounds are consistent; there are no extra clicks or looping sounds. I like that you can set the radio or white noise to play for up to 90 minutes before automatically shutting off. Figuring out how to set the alarm is tricky at first, but the instructions are clear and now that I've figured it out, it is easy to do. The display is quite bright, as others mentioned. There is a dimmer setting, but that is still bright. I just turn the display so that it is not shining directly on my face and I am happy.

All buttons are not correctly Identified as to their usage and some buttons have multiple functions and all functions of those buttons are not always mentioned in the directions. For example, you have to use the Hour and Minute buttons to find your radio stations. Neither are labeled as the TUNE buttons. If you are not careful, you will inadvertently set the alarm button to come on at 3 AM. And the only way I could remove the alarm setting was to unplug the radio and remove the batteries, making me start all over again setting up the radio stations and the clock time. Whoever designed the functions of the buttons should be fired. I expect more from Jensen, much more. Audio is fine for talk radio but there is no music stations worth listening to so I could not judge the music quality.. I needed a magnifying glass to see the poor instructions. Also, you better set the station presets right the first time or you will have to do it al over again. And even if you do it correctly, the preset might not work, and you will have to do it all over again. Do not buy this unit UNLESS you have UNLIMITED PATIENCE.

I have a small shelf that requires a small clock - this one is perfect. The only issue that I have with it is that the instructions are in such tiny font that I needed a magnifying glass to read them! But I like that I can dim the numbers, and the green color is so much easier to sleep with than red numbers.

Generally speaking, I like the product. I bought it to see the time and listen to the radio in my kitchen. And, it does that. However, it does all kinds of other things that I have no need for. Once an alarm is mistakenly set, it's difficult to unset it. The manual is helpful, but going through it is a challenge. In order to stop the alarm, I needed to unplug the clock and set the time again. There is probably an easier way, but I couldn't find it and didn't have the patience to go through the steps involved. All in all, it's a good product. I like the green glow, the size of the numbers, the radio quality is acceptable, and the price is right.. There's just no need for all of the extras that I'll never use.

Bright large display, good nature sounds, no issues operating the device without reading the manual.

Not a fan of this unit. Doesn’t dim enough at night (only two settings) Buttons are awkward and confusing to set alarms. And I don’t know if it has a short in it or is just sensitive to electronics around it , but it would power off and on out of the blue especially when my cell phone or tablet was near it With it intermittently going off and on I found that it couldn’t be trusted
