The Professional is a book I have been wanting to read for awhile snce it was a rec from fellow blogger and I enjoy Kresley Cole's Immortals After Dark series but I didn't get the book until I heard ladies in Read Me Romance -podcast talking about it.The Professional is about Natalie, who has been searching for her birth parents. She's working in two (or three?) different jobs on top of her studies to pay for this search. She rarely is interested in guys because she's like she calls herself the manalyst. She could always read men but there's something about Sevastyan that she just can't get a read on. He takes her to Russia to meet her paternal father.I loved the heroine, maybe even more than hero. Natalie has lived a normal life but she takes everything about this new life so well. She's a virgin but she hasn't been waiting "the one" her whole life. Instead she thinks dating, love, and sex were all overrated. The romance was angsty. There was a lot hot and cold behavior from the hero. Sevatyan didn't like sharing things, like at all. Natalie took his behavior pretty well considering she had zero tolerance for men and their drama. It was still very enjoyable and I'd suggest giving this book a chance if you're in the mood for something angsty. I was surprised how much I actually enjoyed heroine's father. All in all I didn't love the romance but I was still compelled to read it very fast. I mean I almost finished it in one sitting. The Professional made me smile like a crazy person but it also made me cry.

Not good, not bad.
Don't get me wrong I absolutely LOVE KCs books. I'm so exited for Dark Skye and have read ALL her other books multiple times but I just couldn't get into this.Seems like its following the craze for the bondage that's about now, and that's fine. What I couldn't swallow was how easy the girl was to capture then accept this new life, and man and sexual desires. It was all just too easy she didn't have the spirit and spunkiness all the other main ladies have in her books. She was captured and attempted to get away properly once. Then just went along with it.Her dad whom she's just found, is a mob boss. Just goes along with it.Gets taken to a foreign country and isn't allowed to leave the mansion. Just goes along with it.The strange man that captured her and is sexually attracted to ties her up and she just accepts it.Something bad happens there's a shootout and run for her life. Doesn't seem particularly bothered.... goes along with the escape plan and into hiding. There are good points to this book. Kresley IS a very good writer and although I thought it was all too easy I do still love reading her books, very easy to read and get pulled into. And although personally I'm not into the whole bondage scene the sex scenes are still pretty hot, its not too in your face and not boring like 50 shades of grey.I'm still going to read the next instalments to this series I just wasn't a fan of the main female character I think she was abit of a pushover, that's the only reason for the low stars. Im hoping in the next books she develops some balls.

Intense. Intelligent. Inscrutable.
Sevastyan is all of these things. He's also lethal, loyal, and completely locked down emotionally. Nothing gets to this guy at all. Except Natalie, apparently. Natalie is a corn-fed grad student, a self-described "manalyst" who can read a guy with one look. Except Sevastyan.Loved the dynamic between the leads. Made sense why they might have an emotional/intellectual connection in addition to blistering sexual chemistry. Their BDSM-style sexcapades were creative and varied and super duper hot.Violence on the page, including fisticuffs and gun use; references to torture, child abuse, and additional violence.

Good
Have not finished this book yet, but until now, I like it. I recommend it if you love spice, as it does have some scenes in it. 😉

Hot torrid romantic book. The series is awesome.
The book is one of three books. Each one is about a Russian brother and how they deal with their traumatic upbringing , to find love. Great female characters. But then Kresley Cole is an awesome writer. Lots of sexual situations in all three of the books. This is NOT your mamas romance novel.
