Decent
One was warped and could not fit on s 4x4, I had to split it with an angle grinder and drill new holes to clamp it into place. I used mine to reinforce 4x4’s set into about 12” of concrete. My old posts had rotted and i could not dig them completely out. I back filed cement snd cut the bottoms out of these brackets so they would slide over the 4x4. I sds drilled 3/8” holes into the concrete and used some store bought anchors, these gold anchors look like they are made of cheap metal. My posts are solid now, this metal is pretty thick. Wish you could buy these in 4 packs.

Great value
I used these for 4 by 4 posts in a trellis fence along a patio. Easy to use. The pressure treated posts needed a little bit of planing to slip them in, but nothing major. I’d rather have them fit snug than have extra space. Really happy with theses

Looks great. Note height prior to purchase
These brackets look great and when installed correctly look gorgeous. We used different attachments from what was included for our purpose. It does come with bolts. We had a contractor install so we cannot speak to the installation. One thing to note: these are higher than may be allowed in certain areas. Meaning that if you require less than 4" void and you install a bracket with wire railing it is impossible to get 4" between the top of the bracket and the top of the structure it was mounted on, for us top of deck to top of bracket is greater than 4" required. We are crossing our fingers for approval once we add the wires.

Used for a Deck. Provided Fasteners are Meh
I've got 12 of these for an exterior deck in the pacific northwest. They look GREAT but the supplied expansion bolts are not ideal for mounting into wood. They do the job, but there is a bit of wobble (I doubt it would pass inspection). The bolts are also a bit cheap; the sheathes will break if you don't have everything lined up perfectly.I asked how I can buy some replacement bolts but have yet to hear back.Overall, these are aesthetically great, but I recommend supplying your own fasteners, especially if you're mounting to wood.

Inconsistent quality
I ordered two sets of 3 and one set is definitely a heavier, thicker metal; one set was missing hardware - I messaged the seller, but several weeks later and still no response; and the directions do not tell you what size the anchors are, though the description says 1/2”, so that’s what I drilled. They are not 1/2”, they’re smaller - so I had to buy replacement anchors for all six - not cheap. While they seem like they’ll work (with some shims to ensure the posts are plumb - the post holders aren’t all level), I’m not impressed and it would’ve been faster and less expensive in the long run to buy them from a local hardware store.

Good and sturdy
Works great! The only readon for not giving it a five star rating was the price. Found it significantly cheaper at the orange home department store.
