Used these to make a platform for a large trash container. It has now been three months and the pad remains completely level and weed-free. We learned that it is important to level the area to the exact depth needed to match the area next to them, accounting for anything you are covering them with (dirt, mulch, concrete, etc). You can not adjust them at all later. You will have to start over if they end up sitting too high or too low. Also, the little tabs that connect them together tend to break off, as do the plastic star-shaped strips inside the circles. This issue did not affect our project. We used the 1.9 size laid over a thin layer of gravel and heavy-duty landscape fabric, then filled them with soil. It was overkill. If we were to do it again we would use the thinner ones as they would be plenty strong.
