Comfortable to hold and durable
I went from a flat leash to the rope style. It has done really well for me so far about 8 months in at the time of writing this review. I have a 60ish pound boxer who is pretty saintly, but I wanted something heavy duty just in case. I'm really liking the clasp this leash has. Just being able to push it onto the collar is much easier than leashes that have a sliding button type mechanism. I can easily pop his leash on before I get him out of the car. This is also SUPER handy in the winter when you have thick gloves on.It is as super reflective as it shown in the photos. I walk around with a head lamp on at night and it lights up the leash really well. It has become super fuzzy and some of the reflective material has come off, as it gets used a whole whole lot. Many walks a day. (boxers have to use that energy up). I would buy this again for sure if it ever wears out. Also super love the neon green color.

Solid, highly reflective, and good looking
Very good looking leash, highly reflective, and a great easy to use clasp. Rope is a bit thicker than I expected but it's just fine for a 60 lb dog. It has an inch or two of stretch in it to absorb shock but still firm enough to have control. Only complaint is I wish the loop on the grip end was a little smaller and the leather covering where the loop joins back to itself was a little smaller so I could comfortably put the loop around my wrist and grip the rope in my hand -- I'm six feet tall and it is still proportioned a bit to big to fit my forearm and hand perfectly. Still pretty comfortable anyway.

Overall a pretty good leash
Overall a pretty good leash! VERY bright and the reflective part works great. The only problem is that after a while the silver reflective part on the webbing begins to flake off, so this leash will not stay reflective forever. Also, the clasp is pretty heavy, so if you have a really small dog maybe consider a different leash. The woven style of this leash gives it a tiny bit of give (it stretches very slightly) which can be good if your dog yanks on you a lot. In sum, I really like the leash. Sort of a bummer that the reflective part wears off, but I have used it a lot and will probably just buy a new once it has worn down too much.

STRONG AND SAFE
We have a golden retriever pup who's 14 weeks old with lots of energy and razor sharp teeth. Even with a big yard, he has to be taken on early morning and late evening walks to keep him from injuring himself from slamming into walls and furniture in the house (and to wear him out enough to sleep). I looked for a strong leash with more than just a little bit of reflective stitching because our neighborhood doesn't have streetlights. I nearly hit a runner once who was wearing dark clothing and running in total darkness (which is NOT a good idea, by the way).THIS LEASH IS AMAZING!!! It is strong and reflective in all directions... even when it's not all that dark yet. The only other leash I saw that's even close to being as safe as this had reflective tape on just one side. What good is that?I feel confident that Bodhi and whoever walks him is much safer with this leash than with any other leash that I saw here on Amazon ... and you don't have to bother with replacing batteries or remembering to charge it.

Not safe, it unclips
Initially I loved the leash. It is visible at night and seems sturdy. I love the color. BUT and this is the most important BUT, it is NOT SAFE for a dog that you do not want to end up off-leash. It UNCLIPS itself. This happened twice and I am no longer using the leash. My dog needs to stay on leash at all times; one good scent trail or the sight of a rabbit will lead him off to who-know-where and he is a very, very fast dog. I would love to think he would trot right back afterward, but I have seen the kind of accidents that can happen during off-leash moments. Anyway--that's an owner's personal choice and this is mine. Unless my dog is playing in a fenced area, it is extremely important to me to have him securely clipped on a leash.I noticed another reviewer wrote that they tripped on the leash and it unclipped. I did not trip on the leash. My dog tugged on the leash to go smell something in the grass and the next thing I know, I am holding a leash in my hand with no dog attached. I was terrified. Luckily, my dog froze for a second. I managed to quickly re-clip the leash. I was confused because I remembered the product details boasting about how safe the clip was. I thought maybe it was just a one-time fluke. No, it wasn't. Another day, I was walking my dog through a trail in the woods and the same thing happened. We were hiking along, he was ahead of me, and then there I was, holding just a leash. I got lucky that no squirrels or rabbits were around at these times; my dog looked back at me holding the leash and in that pause I quickly re-clipped.But not again, not worth risking it. What if we were walking along a busy street? He gets scared easily. What if we were walking somewhere completely unknown to him? He could get lost. Maybe some would think I'm being dramatic but I love him so much and I want him safe. I trusted this product and it did not live up to its claims. I wish I could return it; I tried but it won't let me.

Dog chewed in half in first 5 minutes
My 6 yr old lab chewed through the leash in less than 5 minutes. What is strange is he never chews anything. Prior to the chewing the leash in half, when I used it, It felt like it was stretching out as I walked him (60 lbs) felt like it would break and wasn't comfortable using it. It was very reflective and would be ok for a small dog (25-30) lbs. Just make sure it's not within their reach to chew on it.

Very reflective good quality leash
I am very happy with this leash! I can tell when some drivers notice it because they slow down. My husband was driving to work and came up over a hill and said that he could see it and we were three blocks away from him! It also has some stretch to it so if my dog goes after a rabbit it doesn't jerk as hard. It is 6 feet in length from end to end which is exactly what I wanted. The end you hold on to doesn't cut into your hand like cheaper leashes can. It is a bigger leash and works well with my 35 pound dog, however it is probably a little too large for smaller dogs, maybe those under 30 pounds? Overall I am very happy with my purchase!!!
