Sondery Capo for Classical Guitars, Ultra Light Clamp for Nylon Strings Straight Fingerboard Guitars, Equipped with Steel Spring Trigger (wooden)

I needed a good capo that will always cover and equally press all strings on my Godin Multiac Grand Concert guitar which has a 2 inch nut width.I have a nice good shubb capo that I liked because I can adjust the pressure point, however - (maybe I got the worng model for this type of guitar?) - I have had a couple of situations when the Capo due to its somehow short lip does not press on either the 6th string or the 1st string and has messed up the song I am performing. So far that hasn't been the case with this Capo as it is longer and has sufficient surface contact to cover easily all 6 strings and little more.This is a strong capo and requires a little of extra force to open and place on the fret but that also guarantees that all strings are pressed equally, I am just extra careful when placing the capo to not cause any blemishes in the nut (the surface contact is well cushioned but just in case). Once I am done playing the piece I remove the capo and put it away (I don't place it at the head of the guitar) as I am not sure if keeping it for extended period on the fret could eventually detune the strings.

Until recently, i never even thought about adding a capo to a classical guitar, but now I wonder why I held to such a purist attitude that the classical guitar was somehow sacrosanct and should remain pure and unaltered. And, I should add, I am not even a classical guitarist. I have spent 90% of my acoustic guitar playing time as a steel string player. I love the tonal pissibilities opened up with this capo. My criticisms if this capo are twofold. First, it is very bulky and the levers seem to be persistently in the way when aying towards the virtual nut. Secondly, because my hand continuously knocks up against these levers, the capo is constantly moving because it has a rather weak spring. This is most noticable on the high E string which buzzes or mutes to alert me of the movement. A stronger spring, a grippier rubber string pressure surface and less ominous levers could really improve on customer satisfaction. Until then, see you up in the higher nylon registers.

Unfortunately, this capo is too passive. I thought the string buzz was MY finger placement. I moved it along the fret board for better positioning. I ended up using an older capo and the strings rang true. Shame. I really liked the 'natural wood' look on my guitar. Had to return.

It's a nice look for any wooden classical/acoustic guitar. It does not fit directly on top. Seems like it misses the E and B strings. It's long enough but doesn't go on those strings for some reason. So I tried putting it on the bottom, its unorthodox but it fits the whole fret and strings and I am able to play with the capo that way. So I took one star off for that.

I love the wood grain finish on this capo. I bought this to pair with my new classical nylon Cordoba guitar. This capo is definitely suitable for wider necks! The spring is strong so it keeps the strings from buzzing. I must-have for transposing on the go!

I found this capo to be as advertised. It is lightweight, attractive and effective. No issues.

Like ease of use, bar covers whole fret board. Couple be a little tighter fit to frets.

Bought this as a spare, but it's considerably better than more expensive one I bought years ago. This is now my main capo.
