Double Sided Rug Tape - Hardwood Floors, Carpet, Area Rugs, Tile (2.5 Inch , 30 Yards)

My wife recently decided to get some Bamboo Wood flooring and wanted some rugs and a thread mill mat to protect the new floors. We do not like rugs that slip or thread mill mats that don't lay flat. The Melca tape works great and keeps the runner rug snug to the new wooden floor and the curled edges on the mat is flat as well. You don't see it mentioned on the reviews that I have read but the tape does not add height to the rugs or mat it is very thin but seems to be very strong. I really can't comment (with any facts on the residue) but knowing the adhesive is very strong a solvent might be required to clean the flooring if you decide to remove the object you used the tape on. Is that really a problem? Not to me... Final words, I am glad we made the purchase and will be looking for more places to use the tape in the future.

I purchased 2 expensive floor mats for in my kitchen to put less stress on my joints while standing to cook and do dishes (as I'm not a dishwasher fan), and I had originally thought with how thick & heavy the mats were (as well as the backing on the bottom of them that's supposed to prevent them from shifting/moving) that they'd stay as I positioned them. But that wasn't the case, I needed a high quality/durable tape to hold them in place. I ordered this tape (even though it shows in the product reviews most people bought it for area rugs and so forth) and when it arrived I was sure to clean the bottom of my mats and floor prior to applying this tape to the bottom of the mats. This tape works GREAT!!! It's been on the mats since I purchased the tape 6 weeks or so ago and it has worked better than I hoped or imagined it would..... My mats haven't shifted at all since applying the tape. And believe me when I tell you it was previously a nuisance how often I had to bend over to put the mats back where I wanted them due to them constantly shifting. Thank you for selling a product that actually works as advertised!

Sticky on both sides the only word I can come up with is you have to be very graceful when using this. You have to be extremely careful not to let the sticky side touch before you're ready to pull the paper otherwise you have to start over again. I have a 8x10 carpet I only did one length, the carpet has since moved so I'm going to have to do all four sides I guess. It is a great value for the money.

This tape is awesome, son! It's got serious adhesion properties that I appreciate. I used a pair of scissors to cut this stuff, and I felt bad for the scissors and retired them! I had to use an adhesive removal wipe from a colleague to remove the residue from the scissors, then it came out of retirement. This tape is great for so many purposes, and I'm glad I have it in my arsenal. The shipping was on point, so kudos to the seller. There's a rating category that states 'Easy to remove'; I gave that joker 1 out of 5 stars! LOL! This is NOT easy to remove! It stays like a loyal dog. I reviewed the name of this stuff... To be fair, I've not used it on a rug, but I have used it on wood and drywall. Hope this helps!

I used this tape to stick together 2 plastic runners to protect a very light colored carpet. My Mom uses a walker and the wheels were making 2 dark tracks into her bedroom on her nearly white carpet. It worked perfectly to stick the bottom runner that really stays in place on the carpet to the top runner which is 11" wider. Unfortunately, the wider runner will not stay in place on the carpet. I hope this will be the solution we've been looking for!Very good tape, I'm sure I'll find other uses for the remainder of the roll.I would say it's only slightly difficult to separate the backing from the tape itself. Plus, the backing is yellow and the actual tape is white (NOT clear) so it's easy to tell when you have them separated.Great product!

I can very well imagine that this is high quality carpet tape. It is very sticky, goes on smoothly and I didn't find it very hard to remove the orange layer when I was ready. However, I tried two different brands of audio foam and it did not stick to either of them for more than about 8 hours. Therefore, in the end I returned it.I then had a very sticky wall . It was a difficult and painful process trying to get hold of the edge of a piece of leftover Melca tape and gently coax it loose from the wall. In a moment of frustration I put the audio foam back in place and taped the foam to the wall using blue painters tape.The next day I went to work. First I pulled off a piece of the blue painting tape and ... to my amazement..., the Melca tape came off completely - it stayed stuck to the blue painters tape. I then put pieces of blue tape over every area with Melca residue, left it for a few hours and tried to remove the Melca as I pulled off the blue. IT WORKED!

I’ve got a house full of kids running around. I don’t know how other people do it with just a rug mat. Yes the mat keeps the rug from slipping and turning crooked but in my home, I noticed the high traffic corner of my rugs was curling up from the kids hitting it with their feet. In my 3 years with this product I have had no issues. And I’ve only needed to use about half a roll. I’ve been using it only on the corners of the rug (and occasionally 10” or so along the long side of a floor runner rug). It’s kid proof and keeps me sane. The only issue is that it takes some time and patience to remove from my wood floors, it comes off in broken pieces but it comes off clean. Absolutely worth every single penny!!

I bought this tape to cover a 2 x 6 foot decorative rug that lays over/covers a 12 foot power strip extension chord that runs from the wall to my power reclining couches in the center of the living room. Ive had the rug there for 4 years & have tried numerous things ( non skid rug mats) & tapes (duct, masking, frog,) to keep the rug in place to no avail! Alas, a MIRACLE!!! This tape stuck to both my room carpeting and the rug and it hasn't moved one inch (stays exactly where I put the rug). No more tripping over the rug, constantly moving the rug to cover the extension chord, and I can even vacuum right over it without it moving. This tape is the BEST and it REALLY WORKS!
