Practical and durable!
This is the best map I own and I have quite a collection of them. It has a coating to keep it water, soil and tear resistant and clearly shows the details that many maps miss while at the same time being very clear and easy to read. Perfect for a pack trip into the back country

Ideal Map
This map is just what I want for exploring the San Rafael Swell, Utah area. All important points/services for visitors are clearly shown, as is the designated quality level of all the roads, & distances from one point to the next. Topographical features seem well depicted throughout. Useful brief summaries of the area's highlights. The weather-proof, durable, & foldable qualities are invaluable. Matches the overall quality of the 2 other Nat. Geo. topographical maps I've bought previously to navigate roads on trips out west.

Just a very good detailed map for outdoor recreation.
Has accurate and up to date road, trail, trailhead, etc. information. Found this to be a critical extra level of detail beyond what is in Benchmark or similar "recreation" maps. Those are good for 90% of driving around, but the Nat Geo map is what you need for hiking, biking, etc.

Great map!
I love the trails illustrationed maps. They don't have the detail of a usgs topo. But they have plenty of detail for me. Trailheads, trails, 4wd roads, campgrounds, everything I need.

Beautiful, but not thorough
Beautiful and waterproof. However, not thorough. Several well known trails And dispersed campsites missing. BLM map online is much more thorough.
