I used it for a costume and it's OK. It looks a lot like a prop, which is fine but it's just not as realistic looking as I hoped.

It's perfect. My son is using this for a costume. It's real enough looking to fool folks in pics but not so real that my child will be shot for holding it. Definitely happy I purchased.
