Review: ALL 4 BULBS STOPPED WORKING AFTER 1 YEAR - UPDATE: apparently, the company’s server went down and that’s why I was unable to manage my lights through the app. The app is back up and working. From what I have read if my lightbulbs were compatible with a zigbee hub, I would not have had this issue. These lights are not compatible with the zigbee hub June 2025:. These were great for a year then they stopped connecting to the app and the only way to turn the bulb on is manually. This gives you basic light but you cannot control the color or brightness of the bulb. I have 4 bulbs, 1 in an office lamp, 2 in bedroom lamps, and 1 in a hallway light fixture. I did everything that they suggest for troubleshooting but they still don't work. I deleted the app and reinstalled it and now I can't log in or get access to the app at all. I emailed the company several times but they never responded.

There is no reason that the first bulb stopped working last month, but yesterday it turns out everyone's Sengled bulbs stopped working. Why? Because our bulbs in our homes on our wifi and our app don't work if their server goes home. Our bulbs run through their server. So many people spent hours trying to get our lights to work. I deleted my bulbs and tried to re-set them. I deleted the app and it didn't work. After hours I went to Google for help and found that they tweeted that all of our bulbs stopped working because THEIR servers went down! My Hue bulbs cost more, and I had a hub foe them, but they came through my own home. The fact that everybody's lights have to work through their server is ridiculous. They said we should just use our lights using the on/off switch. Thankfully I could in this apartment. At my last one I had two bulbs in a spot where I couldn't reach and could only use the app or Alexa. At mt current apartment I bought these to convert my lamps into colored dimmer lamps. They were too bright for me to use in my bedroom, and I had to go out and buy a lower watt bulb not because my apartment wifi went down, not because my electricity went down, not because my lamps broke. No, my personal lights in my apartment stopped working because their server crashed, and it took them all day to fix it. It's back up, and one light is working. The light I deleted yesterday will not connect. Nor will yhe spare. I cannot figure out why I cannot get that light connected. Ia it because of the bulb or is it still their server? I have no idea. I'll be buying new hue lights and throwing these out. 11/18/21: I purchased four bulbs and installed two. I was pleased. They were great until they weren't. These bulbs were cheaper and easier to install than my old Hue bulbs and hadn't required the purchase of a hub. Except at one month the first bulb started being non-responsive. Now the second bulb (2.5 months) is non-responsive. The problem isn't Alexa because the app is also not responsive. To make it worse, with the second bulb, I will set it, it won't turn on, then 10 min later suddenly it will. That's actually less useful then completely unresponsive. I'm off to buy more Hue bulbs. I never had problems with them, I just lost them in a box somewhere when I moved in August, and I still haven't found them.

**Q: Is this an e26 base? I see the bulb is a19.  I want the base.**
A: This is a "standard" E26 A19 bulb.
E26 is the type of base (medium screw base) and A19 is is the shape of the bulb.
For instance, an E26 G19 is the same screw base with a globe shape.

A: Hello!
You can use Alexa app to directly find our bulbs.
Here's how to add the bulb directly: 
1.) Power the bulb on in a fixture that is next to the Alexa devices.
2.) Open up the Alexa app and from the main menu navigate to the “Smart Home” page 
3.) On the “Smart Home” page you will see any devices that are already connected. To add the Wi-Fi bulb you can simply tap “Add a new device”. This will begin Alexa’s search for the Wi-Fi bulb. 
4.) The Element bulb should flash a few times once it has been discovered.

**Q: I have one of these bulbs and love it. so i bought the 4 pack and can not get them to link with my alexa. do i need to disconnect my original?**
A: They're not Bluetooth, they're WiFi. You need to use their 2* app. I made the same mistake. Received 2 of this brand lightbulbs with my echos and thought I'd buy more. This pack isn't the same lightbulb that comes with the Alexa.

**Q: Can you send a replacement bulb? One of my bulbs still powers in but doesn’t connect. I’ve tried everything.**
A: Mine didn’t work either.  No help from Sengled at all.   Return em and buy another brand.  That what I did!
