A very concisely crafted simply designed tool that does an excellent job of balancing a turntable arm. It can be an imposing task to the uninitiated and this tool is great for someone with minimal experience but also functions well for a long time enthusiast.

Used for turntable setup and not disappointed. Comes with a cool case and fine user instructions. Scale especially useful. A tad expensive but a good buy.

Everything needed for alignment

I was very impressed with this alignment kit for stereo turntable cartridges.It is well packaged and has all the tools necessary to accurately align your stylus cartridge for maximum efficiency.

This is an easy-to-use kit that has made a significant improvement in my turntable’s performance. It was well worth the money.My scale came with four batteries, so two spares. It revealed that the vertical tracking force of my Thorens TD-166 mkII I bought used in the 1990’s reads about 250mg too high. I adjusted the counterweight to compensate.The acrylic ruler revealed that azimuth was correct, but vertical tracking angle was not. The VTA is adjusted on this model by adding shims between the Sumiko Blue Point cartridge and tonearm headshell. I added some 3d printed shims (thanks to navydiver at Thingiverse.com) to compensate.The protractor revealed the need to adjust the position of the cartridge within the tonearm headshell. This was accomplished.After all this, there was a significant improvement in sound. This is my third turntable in forty four years, and the one I’ve had the longest (28 years). For the first time since I was introduced to digital sound in 1986, I can understand why some people prefer vinyl. I’m looking forward to rediscovering my vinyl collection.

I was really impressed by the tools, packaging, and more importantly, the value this kit provides. I was able to use the VTF gage and related calibration weight to zero out and recalibrate my cartride tracking force, then use the VTA tool to adjust my tone arm height, and the protactor to adjust my cartridge alignment....i was in record player geek heaven! I am running a technics sl1200mk2 with an Ortofon 2M Blue MM....this kit really helped me to professuonally set up the cartridge. I recommend this for the funtionality, features, and the value. (I would have paid double or triple for these tools at an audio show so this kit was tremendous value).

The scale came with two sets of batteries and a calibration weight which fits inside the back of it. Protractor and VTA gauges are nicely made and the overall case is sturdy and feels quality. A nice all in one for turntable setup!
