I'm going to assess this on multiple levels starting with flavor and texture as these are integral components of using any product designed to be eaten. First of all, this powder is made from whey, which means it comes from milk. The bag statest that the cows the milk comes from are pasture-fed for the most part with some grains (hence the β€œorganic” part of the description). The reason I mention that it comes from milk is that it smells and tastes like buttermilk/slightly sour milk/powdered milk to a mild extent.Another reviewer felt that it had no flavor, but I could easily taste the milky tones in it. That being said, it is, by far, the mildest and most finely ground whey powder I've ever tried. Usually, they are grittier, grainier, and have a somewhat cereal-like (or dog-food like) flavor or aroma. This will have far less of an effect on whatever you mix it with than other powders, but it will still add something so I recommend you add it to things with strong flavors or that can be complemented by the addition of milk.The powder is super fine, as I said, so it can be integrated well with other powdered ingredients. It doesn't mix well, however, with liquids. I added a tablespoon to coffee to see how it'd mix and it clumped up and did not dissolve. I was able to fully integrate it with a push whisk that I could use to vigorously mix it, but this is really only practical for use in a blender of some sort or mixed with other dry ingredients. Once it is integrated, you do not detect the texture at all. The grains are so fine that you can only really note the texture if you taste the powder alone (which I did for testing – even then, it's so fine it feels like it dissolves on the tongue).The serving information is slightly confusing because the serving size is given as β€œ1 scoop” and there is no scoop included. By weight, the serving size is 21 grams. I weighed this and that seems to be about 4-5 tbsp. (ΒΌ cup to ΒΌ cup + 1 tbsp.) of powder. I weighed one tablespoon as between 4-5 grams. I think that the manufacturer should have included a scoop or given conventional measurements. I do believe that, at 80 calories per serving, this is on the low side for protein powder in terms of calories.The bag contains about 10 servings and sells for $20 at the time of this review. That is very expensive per serving, but the value of non-GMO, organic products is harder to assess than other mass-produced products as the methods for production are much more expensive. I am not factoring price into my rating or assessing β€œvalue” in terms of price per serving because I don't feel qualified to weight this against other brands, but this is $40/lb. In this presentation and other (mass-produced, non-organic) types run the gamut from $7 to $20/lb. The value of these special qualities is something each person has to weigh for herself/himself.All in all, this is mild tasting, finely ground, good quality protein powder which is sourced in ways that people who observe certain dietary requirements should find appealing. The only potential weak point that I found with this was the pricing. I took one star off the rating because of the lack of a scoop and tricky translation of nutrition information as a result of that.Note: I received a free sample of this product for my assessment. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Great Protein Powder! I opened it right up, and was happy to give it a try. The packaging says to use the scoop as a measuring device. However, my bag did not have any scoop inside of it. I tried to weigh out the amount that would equal a scoop, but that became a little bit messy. I resorted to Just using a tablespoon and adding it.I am happy to say that this particular whey protein does not swell and thicken up when you add it to liquids. I have had other whey protein mixes that would get grossly thick and texturize any beverage I tried it in. Also, this particular mix does not have much of the flavor. I find this to be a huge bonus! This means I can literally add it to any beverage and not have the original flavor altered.
