Make sure your dog is exhausted before you leave. There’s an old saying “a tired dog is a good dog.” Also, don’t make a big deal of saying hi when you come home or saying goodbye when you leave the house. Don’t get excited to see them. Give them a special bone or toy they really like and only give it to them when you’re leaving. Try a thunder shirt. You can go to petsmart/petco to make sure it fits right. They have a ton of tips on the box to get your dog to like the thunder shirt. Used it to train and found it effective. However had to replace battery earlier than expected and to do that had to order it from the company. The tech support was very helpful! Even after replacing the battery the power seems to be so much less. I have to turn it up to around 25 to match the former setting of 8; I always test it before putting it on my pooch.
