Oh my gosh! How in the world did I live this long without this phenomenal tool! It is the cat's meow! The best thing since air conditioning (I don't eat bread!). What a space saver, food saver, and money saver!!! I've been a vacuum sealing fool!! My husband is keeping close watch on our little pooch because he's afraid if the dog stops near me, I'll seal him up! =)I often buy foods in bulk and this amazing gem has allowed me to vacuum seal sunflower and other type seeds so that they won't go stale. I make up a large bag of seeds and several 1-cup-sized bags. When I use the 1-cup bags, I'll open the large bag and separate the seeds into more 1-cup sized "to-go" bags. We recently purchased a box of 30 sausage patties that I separated and vacuum-sealed into 4-patty servings, so my hubby doesn't feel the need to "eat them up before they go bad." This also saves a bunch of room in the freezer. The FoodSaver also allows us to section the bulk ground raw meats we buy for our dog and put them into weekly serving sized pouches. I made a lasagna and we had some left over, so I sliced up individual portions and put them into the regular Ziplock bags which I then closed and put into a vacuum seal bag and sealed it up. By putting it into a regular Ziplock first, it prevented a mess when the air was being sucked out of the bag. Nice and neat! Another option would have been to slice up individual servings and put them into the freezer. Once frozen, put them into a FoodSaver bag and seal it OH!!! I opened a new package of biscuit mix and only used a small amount. Since the bag had already been heat sealed, I just put the original bag into the FoodSaver and re-sealed it! SOOOO COOL!!!. The uses are endless!The reusable zip seal bags are great too. We had leftover biscuits this morning, so I used one of the resealable zip seal bags so that when we want to remove a biscuit, we just unzip the bag, take out a biscuit, close the bag and then re-vacuum seal it. Easy breezy!!! I had lemons and limes that had been sitting in the basket too long and were hard as a rock ... almost needed a hacksaw to cut into them, but they were filled with juice, so I juiced them, put the juice into ice cube trays and froze them. I've attached a picture of the frozen lemon and lime cubes, vacuum-sealed in their bags. Also attached is a photo of some of the things I sealed today. Such FUN!!!I was going to keep the FoodSaver in a cabinet, but quickly realized just how invaluable this thing is, so I decided to keep it on our bakers rack where it is easily accessible. I'm amazed at how often I use it.If you have young children, this is invaluable! If you are active and take snacks along for activities such as biking, running, hiking, boating, whatever, again invaluable!!I If you like to bring your lunch to work ... invaluable!! I like to buy raw freeze dried snacks for my dog ... invaluable! I take a few out and reseal them! This product would benefit everyone and anyone.I originally bought it to vacuum seal make-ahead meals to store in our RV before a trip. All we'll need to do is remove the bag from the freezer and either drop it into a pot of boiling water or cut a slit in the bag and put it in the microwave! Such ease combined with paper plates is PRICELESS!! A HUGE time and space saver!!!I've had this product for nine days and, so far, there is NOTHING that I don't like about it.LOVE IT!!! LOVE IT!! LOVE IT!!!

This is a review of the FoodSaver FM2435 ECR Vacuum Sealing System.Summary - Wish I had gone this route to begin with. I tried several other off name types and after I got this I realized they were not a true high quality item. My past units failed to suck all the air out sometimes and even though they would heat seal, they did not keep frost out like I expected. Ironically I found out about this brand by my dad who has a foodsaver. (He had his for about 8 years now and since he swore by it and had it so long, I decided to try.)This one is truly what I need and wanted. It was more expensive than some of the others you will find, but you will be glad you spent the extra. This one does an amazing job at sealing and has a very powerful vacuum. What I love the most is how it came with the attachment so I can use on the ziplock and various other suction type of bags you can purchase. We used a manual pump for those and while it worked, it was a pain and still not get as much air out as we hoped.Lastly, if you buy food in bulk (meats, etc.) you will know this is a life saver and money saver! You buy in bulk when the price is low and package it for long term freezer use. It is also great for items you want to use but know you will not be back to use for awhile.If you would use this even semi frequently, you would have savings beyond the price in no time. Food is certainly not cheap and this will prevent you throwing a ton of food away due to it going back so quick!In terms of features, this one has a lot.-It has a nice build quality and is made of plastic and stainless. (The stainless looks great in our kitchen as that is our theme in terms of appliances.)-It is not take up a ton of space like some units do. It short-shallow enough to store on my counter, in my cabinets or on top of my cabinets.-Came with the attachment to use on bags or containers.-Came with a starter kit for bags. You get a 11" x 10' roll, 3 quart pre cut bags, 2 gallon pre cut bags, 3 quart vacuum zipper bags and 2 gallon vacuum zipper bags.-Unlike some, this has a cutter so you do not need to use scissors.-Is nice and wide.Tips-If you want to use on soups and such, freeze them and then use this so it does not pull a lot of liquid out.

I love it, I love it, I love it. It works great; I no longer have freezer burn on my frozen food. It is so easy to use. If it ever breaks in the future, I will buy another one.

We bought this product because we just bought a 7ft freezer to store our perishable food that can not fit our 2 refrigerators since this COVID 19 epidemic we were buying more food than we usually do because our 2 sons 7 and 15 years old eat like we are feeding 10 grown men. I have OCD when it comes to organizing so I need a vacuum sealer to store our food to extend the life and freshness of our food. it took a while for me to get the right product because before I buy things I have to research it first, then compare products then commit to buying a product especially electronics. Since it was my first time using a vacuum sealer so it took a few minutes to get the hang of it. By reading the manual and looking at the pictures it is not clear how to really operate it so I played with it for a while pushing buttons and sealing my ziploc bags first because I do not want to waste my vacuum bags it did not of course vacuum the bag but it sealed it though. So being brave and crossing my fingers I used the roller bag to make a bag and then stuff the lasagna noodles in it and vacuum seal it. It made a loud "popping" sound hence, the title of the review. It scared me a bit because it was loud I thought I broke the machine that we just bought. I waited for the light of the seal button to turn off so I can take the vacuum bag away and after I did, the bag is still popping even after it was out the device because the noodles were breaking apart inside. Note to self do not vacuum a bunch of lasagna noodles. again. Anyways, the Foodsaver works and it sealed the bag completely. So far so good it did its job.

Totally love this machine! Does what I need it to do and I am very happy
