Love this! Got another!
My second purchase. First one has been confiscated by our new kitten! Seals nicely and keeps my sugar dry.

Ignore the negative reviews
This container is great for storing flour. I am commenting in response to the 2 and 3 star reviews.* Contrary to the negative reviewer, I found the main lid to be very secure with a bag inside. I lifted the container by the lid with a full bag of flour just to see if the lid popped off and it did not.*The pour spout does in fact snap closed.*Putting the bag of flour inside the container is not problematic and cutting the bag at the right point is not complicated. If the flour is settled so it's expanded out a little, you might have to squish it to lengthen it to make it fit in easier, but it's not a big deal.*The plastic is not cheap and is WAY thicker than Ziploc containers and seems to me to be quite durable. I don't' know how the person can say it's cheaper than Ziploc. It's quite obviously much thicker. I have some Tupperware and it is just as thick and sturdy as my Tupperware.* I scoop out a full cup of flour through the pop up lid with no problem. I can't imagine what kind of measuring cup the person is using to say that only ¼ cup fits.Perhaps they have defective products or maybe are not reviewing the right product.I ordered just one if these to see if I liked it. Now I'm back to order four more. I bake a lot of bread and have several different types of flours that I use. If I'm using more than 2 cups of flour, I weigh it rather than measure as it's easier and more accurate. These containers work well for weighing as you can dump flour directly into your bowl.My only quibble with this product is that there is not a straight edge to level the flour. The inside rim is curved. This seems like a totally obvious feature to include in a flour container, so I will gripe about that in hopes that the manufacture looks at reviews and will see this and think about adding a straight edge. If I could take half a star off for that I would, but since I can't I'll leave it at 5 stars. Other than that, I love these containers. They are the best thing I have found for storing flour.

Exactly What I Needed!
I rarely leave reviews unless a product really impresses me. I ordered 3 of these. Just received them and could not be happier. I keep a lot of flour varieties on hand because I bake a lot. I have always liked to keep them in the original packaging so I know exactly what it is but also want them in something to keep them fresh. Gallon ziploc bags work but are kind of wasteful. Plus a full bag doesn’t fit in one in situations where I open the bag and only use a cup or 2. And then you’re constantly rolling and unrolling the top and I end up getting flour everywhere. These containers are perfect. The original bag slides right in. You cut the top off at the top of the container so no more rolling/unrolling or having extra bag to contend with when scooping. The top holds the bag in place and the lid is large enough to fit a measuring cup into. And it has a scoop that hangs on the outside so you don’t have to dig it into and out of the flour to close it up. They also give a nice uniform, organized look to bags. If I HAD to find a complaint it would be that it feels a little cheap. But I actually don’t mind that given that, in this case, I’d prefer something inexpensive so I don’t feel like I’m spending a fortune on several of them.

Great for flour you don't use too often
I'm the kind of home baker who buys all-purpose flour by the 20-lb bag and keeps it in a large pet food container because I use it so often. I buy other flours (whole wheat, White Lily, cornmeal) in smaller quantities, and I was looking for a convenient way to keep them fresh while also not having to unroll the paper bag it comes in every time I need to scoop some out. This container is a good solution, with two caveats: 1) the container doesn't hold a whole 5-lb bag, so you'll need to leave your bag unopened until you need to use it in a recipe, THEN measure out what you need and secure the remainder in the container, and 2) there's not a whole lot of room to measure and level off the ingredient in question, but it's better than fiddling with the original packaging. If this container were an inch taller and half an inch wider, it would be perfect. But it's close enough that I'll probably purchase another container or two for the other flours I use infrequently.

Yes it's fine for holding a bag of flour but...
It is sturdy, it fits a bag of flour, the lid snaps on properly after several attempts, but I understand what someone said about it not being "big enough"... you can't level off a one cup scoop (even though the measuring cup will fit, there's not enough room for the flour to fall). Probably if I were to remove the entire lid every time it would be ok. It's just a small square opening when you flip the lid up, and as the bag depletes I believe I will have to remove the lid no matter what. No biggy, just not what I hoped, it is ok! Just have to be more careful when leveling. Or level over paper and pour back in. A plain top may be a less expensive alternative. Hope that clarifies.

10/10
If I had the counter/cabinet space I would have a million of these. I run a small home bakery out of my house so sorting flour is sometimes hard (and I go through a lot) so this allows me to take my laziness to the next level and still scratch that itch to be organized. Organized AND lazy? Could you ask for more? I love the little scoop and being able to see what type of flour is inside rather than having to empty it into an airtight container and be constantly changing labels. I have one for all purpose, bread flour, organic bread flour and for whole wheat! They bag slips in their perfectly (the 5lb bag)
