A mechanic and smuuuut writer= hawt combination
This was an easy, light read. Now I can watch the movie on Passionflex when it comes out 👀.Kate/Mercedes Love Letter (27) is having a hard time writing the book she needs to release. She just so happens to go to the local tire shop when, all of a sudden, she gets out of her writer’s block and gets closer and closer to finishing her book. Buuuut, she needs to KEEP working there in order to meet her deadline, and, being the great person that she is, she keeps taking people’s cars in to get serviced 🤣 until one day she barges into a hawt, sweaty mechanic that fits the description of a book boyfriend 👀.Miles (30) has been single for a little while now. He spent a decade with his on-again off-again ex who left him for an older rich man after she got pregnant during one of their breaks, which means he has trust issues. In the meanwhile, he enjoys his single life and has been trying to make up for all that lost time with the b of his ex who constantly tried making him jealous. He keeps noticing that the redhead is constantly at the shop. After a pizza debacle, a fainting spell, and pizza for dinner, he finds out why she’s REALLY there. And he’s ALL for it 👀. In fact, he doesn’t mind if she uses him for “research” purposes 😉.What I liked/loved:—the tire scene. I mean 🤷🏻♀️. I’m a woman. I can appreciate the male form 💁🏻♀️. Plus, with the Passionflex teasers, how could I NOT love that scene 👀. Muscles? Check. Wet shirt? Check. Sweaty man? Check check check 🥵—the 🔥. I’m soooo glad this isn’t a slow burn 😉 (more like medium burn) because it was hawt 💁🏻♀️. And, the first time they finally have sex is because he’s jealous 😈. I love me a jealous guy 😉—the dirty talk 🥵—how JP Miles is. Miles is worse than a toddler getting possessive over his property 👀.—the 🤣 moments. From the pizzas at the tire shop, to the fake bill, to the burnt rubber candle to the new word I learned (emongry) I was giggling and smiling (and 🤦🏻♀️🫣 my face too)—how supportive Miles and his family are of Kate’s profession ❤️—the OMD 😈. I luuuurve it in my books. Miles saw red left and right 😅. I didn’t mind it- it means more marking of his territory 😉. Plus, breaking someone’s nose (a douche bag) just makes sense 🤷🏻♀️. I don’t make the rules 💅—the sweet moments ❤️—the grovel. This time, it’s not the hero that needs to grovel 😅. Grand gesture for sure 🥹. Kate messed upWhat I didn’t like/wanted more of:—less FTB 😑. This should be a crime!!!! 😭 I mean, I get it 🙄 but come on!!!! 😐don’t be doing us dirty like this 🤷🏻♀️especially when they’re important scene (let’s be honest. I think they’re all important 🤣)—Kate should’ve come clean sooner 🤦🏻♀️. I can’t blame Miles 😬—more on the family history; it would’ve added to the grand gesture—info on how her ex is doing 😑 he was such a douche 😐 a broken nose should’ve been the least of his worries—an epilogue further into the future. 3 months is just not enough time 😭Overall, I really enjoyed this ❤️

Sweet Meet Cute Story
I'm excited to read this book and watch the soon-to-come passionflix movie. I have loved other books by this author.Kate is a writer who writes smut; according to her, she uses a pen name. Lately, she has been finding inspiration and a cure for writer's block at The Tire Depot. She is funny, a little crazy maybe, but also full of personality. I love her pov as it is easy to read. The author even manages to use terminology I need to familiarize myself with. Miles is a mechanic at The Tire Depot who happens to notice a certain red-headed lady as they collide in a happenstance that is comical. He has a history of being the savior to damsels in distress. His pov is interesting as he hyper-focuses on her body parts. His meet cute encounters with Kate at least have some awesome banter. One thing leads to another, and we finally get a direction for these two characters. Oh, this story gets a little steamy and kinky. The agreement they come to, on an awkward morning after, sets us up for the rest of this book. Ok, their research is hot and steamy and well described in the book. This book has its ups and down and a little drama, but it does end happily. The not-so-secret secrets will be what causes the drama in this causal but not-so-casual friends-with-benefits story. I may see camping trips differently after this book; wow and steamy.I like the character in this story; they are authentic, albeit on the sizzling side of the romance trope with steamy scenes in this book. The book has a sweet friend with benefits and meet cute story with lovable characters and true-to-life issues. Both characters are between new adults and midlife. Extra perks for the book being about an author writing romance stories. The camping scenes were my favorite; after that, I started scanning thru the intimate scenes as they were numerous. I like how the author ended the book; it was very true to the characters and storyline.I look forward to seeing this portrayed on film.

a cute meet cute
When I originally read this I accidentally read Take a Number (Book 4) first. Then i went back to read the whole series. Who doesn’t love a good meet cute? When romance author Kate finds sitting at an auto shop customer service center helps her writing, she finds ways to keep going there to keep her writing mojo intact. When she runs out of cars to bring, she sneaks in. Miles notices our red haired Kate and wonders what she’s up to. This story is fun and will keep you entertained and a bit of wondering when will Kate finally tell Miles all of her truths.

🙌🏻
I’ve had Wait With Me on my tbr for a while and with the movie release happening at the end of the month, I decided it was finally time to cross it off.Kate Smith is a best-selling author with writer’s block- that is, until she has to take her car in to the local Tire Depot and inspiration hits. Kate then begins sneaking into the Tire Depot’s Comfort Center daily to write. She thinks she’s flying under the radar, but Miles Hudson, the mechanic with book boyfriend worthy arms, has definitely noticed the mysterious redhead. And that’s when the real story begins.Over all, it was a sweet and simple read, a little bit of spice, a whole lot of cheesy banter, a tad bit of drama, and of course, a happy ending. Looking forward to watching the movie!

Enjoyable Steamy Romance
Smutty novelist Kate who has a great pen name finds her writing vibe at the Tire Depot and so spends her day there in the Customer Comfort Lounge, writing, drinking coffee and eating pastries.Miles Hudson works there and he is a man with a fractured heart who does not want any kind of relationship too serious. They enter into a friends with benefit situation and Miles helps Kate with book research (in the bedroom and everywhere else). This was a fun romance, it's being made into a film and I enjoyed the good humour, the easy storyline and it has good steam.Would absolutely recommend.

Lots of laughs
This story was a good read. I liked all the characters. Kate aka Mercedes Lee Loveletter and Miles. I have read one of the books in this series ready so had a vague recollection of some of the characters. Lots of laughs throughout this story. A little bit of drama. And lots of sexy scenes.

Service in style!
Kate Smith is a romance writer with writers block. When taking her car for a service, the block disappears and she finds the juice she needs to create whilst sitting in the wait area. When it becomes the only place she can write, Kate sneaks in to complete her book. Miles works at the tyre depot and has spotted Kate but due to an ex he's quite wary of women. What happens when they start to flirt? What happens when Kate tells Miles her pen name and not her own? Can whatever is they're doing survive the fallout when all secrets come out? I've had this story on my kindle for ages, read all of Amy's other books and despaired that I had no others to read! How stupid I am and how amazingly entertaining is this book

I love all Amy's shenanigans!
I've read all of this author's books so far and was waiting eagerly for the next in the series of her Harris Brothers set. Suddenly this new standalone novel was born from an idea Amy Daws had when she got new tyres! I saw videos of her on the news and the backstory to this current book was so fun! Amy had taken her computer to do a bit of writing while waiting in the hospitality room at the tyre centre. She had found her words flowing amazingly whilst waiting for her car to be ready. The coffees and cookies kept her sustained. That's where the similarity ends-the rest of the book is fiction but is also set in a car service station where author Mercedes (real name Kate) writes her books under the same circumstances. This was a great read and I thoroughly enjoyed it. There were many laughs just in the first few pages! Amy Daws' writing is just ELECTRIC! You just can't wait to pick the book up and see what's going to emerge. The story is told from different characters' point of view-eg. Kate has a chapter, then Miles the mechanic has a chapter. I love the themed pictures at the start of the chapters-it all adds to the reading experience and makes it that little bit more special. Always a polished finish to Amy's books.Bliss-knowing it's Easter holiday, you don't have to be up early for work in the morning and you can read this fab and fun book as late as you like! I love all Amy's shenanigans!

Easy read
Kate is a successful writer of erotic books only she finds she is stuck finishing off her latest novel that is until she goes to get her car fixed and finds she gets her mojo back whilst sitting in their very comfortable customer lounge. She starts going there every day tucking herself in a corner, eating their cookies and drinking their coffee. Miles works there and notices the redhead and how gorgeous she is. There is a definite pull and when they finally get together Kate cant tell him what she does and gives him her writers name. It leads to Miles telling her he isnt interested in her lies.
