I have been an Amazon customer for several years, but this is the first time I felt compelled to write a review. I was given a WII system for Christmas. My 5 year-old nephew was also given a WII for Christmas. I was searching for a fun game that he and I could play together. Chicken Riot was my first WII game purchase. I must say, it is the best WII game I have played to date. To be honest, I have only played a handful of games but this one is tops. The music is great, however if you don't like harmonica or guitar music you might want to turn the sound down or off. The graphics is outstanding on my 60-inch HD TV. Chicken Riot is basically a arcade-type shooting game. The story premise is that the chickens are out to get the farmer. They throw eggs at you as you try to shoot them before they drain your energy. I must admit that I was a little frustrated at first because I could not score high enough to advance/unlock other games and levels. After about two months of play, I figured out the secret to high scores. Since, I have unlocked all levels and all games. Eventhough I have unlocked all of the games and levels, I continue to find the game very entertaining. My nephew loves it as well and we have spent hours dogging eggs and shooting cartoon chickens together. I was also impressed with how the game developers and graphics designers included items and scenes from other pop culture cartoons and movies. Keep your eyes open for them. They are amusing. I highly recommend this game.

A high-falutten chicken-shootin' good time!
The only reason I purchased this game was because the cover art looked nuts and it was cheap. I'm so happy I did. I've purchased many other much-hyped and expensive titles and not had as much fun as I continue to have fighting these chickens. I don't really know if the makers have the rights to these images - but you get to battle wizard chickens, terminator robot chickens, agent smith (aka the matrix) chickens, viking warrior chickens, alien spaceship chickens, Dracula chickens along with ghost zombie chickens, and finally the big Darth Chicken himself. I dare even the most seasoned gamer to survive levels 7 or 8 without getting "egged out!" The mini-games are equally as fun and challenging. There's no blood or gore - it's very funny, mild cartoon violence. Appropriate for any age. This one's a keeper!

Some things we have learned about Chicken Riot.
We have had Chicken Riot for 4 months now. It is an eggcellent game, lots of fun. We have gone through all levels, and completed all challenges. There is 1 bug however, at least in ours. I mentioned we completed all challenges. Well, there is one that did not unlock. The first time you gain 5 stars in any level, the "I Did It" challenge is supposed to unlock, but it does not. I even tried to contact City Interactive about that, but they never responded. All other challenges have unlocked as they should. Some other things worth mentioning. When you complete the 8th (last) level for the very first time, the game displays credits like at the end of a movie. When you pass 1 Million points in any level, the score stays at 999,999 even though you can keep playing.Again, it is a fun game, and plays well (meaning all the controls work as they should when they should). Looking forward to when Rooster Hunt comes out.

Dumb!
This is a very stupid game. Even the grandchildren hate it . Do not waste your money on this one. We are sorry we did.

Children's game
Not what I expected, I purchased for my Wii. This is more suited for 8-12 age groups, and I think it will be fun for those ages only.

Fun, but less so in solo mode when you hit level 4.
Don't get me wrong... I'm by no means a gaming pro... but I know a frustrating game when i play one and this one is among the top. Everything is great until level 4 when suddenly the game designers decided that it was time to up the ante and make the player work for their money. Try as I might, I just can't get past that level, which is sad because you can't unlock any of the "Challenges" (one of the 3 game modes) until you run thru the whole story mode.Maybe it's better with 2 players? Don't know 'cuz I rarely have a 2nd player (yeah... I know... sad).Anywhoo... this game will add to my ever-growing stack of games that are "fun... but only for the first 4 levels or so before they piss me off."

Fun!
My husband recently bought a Wii for me and our small grandsons to play when they visit us. Being a responsible Granny, I wanted to purchase a fun shooting game that didn't promote violence or lots of blood and gore. This game is fun and our grandsons love it. Just buy some zapper guns to use with the remote/nunchuk and you're all set! Amazon also sells the zapper guns which I bought 2 for about $6 from one of their sellers. I had a blast just sitting with one of our grandsons in the recliner zapping chickens. We played and laughed for several hours all for less than $20! Money well spent. I can't wait for the next zapping party! lol

Mindless family fun.
I like this game as a first person shooter family game as it has no blood or gore in it. These days its hard to find a game like that for the little ones in your family but this fits the bill. Not too much thinking involved in this. Just aim and shoot. Chickens are some what funny too. Game does get a bit repetitive between levels. My son who is 6 years old loves this game and my wife and I like it a bunch too.
