Great TV, great price
After spending years using a different brand, we needed to replace a TV in our guest room. This was a 4k tv for a great price, and we use Roku so it made sense. The picture is really good. The sound is a bit hollow, but I'm ok with it because of the price. We can get a sound bar to make it better if needed because it was so inexpensive.

Love this RCA Roku TV/UPDATE:broke in less than a year!! Not honoring warranty!
This is a nice tv. I love Roku. Not a fan of Fire stick systems. Roku is far superior for folks like me that aren't all that technically inclined. It's just so simple to get hooked up. Because it's WiFi you don't need the old cable box anymore if you want to stream or just hook up to your cable via WiFi. It's a little bit different tv watching experience. You don't have numbers on the remote. If you want to hook up your cable box so you have an HDMI you just use the Roku remote to turn on the tv and your cable box remote to change channels. If you're like me and not too savvy with this technology you probably understand what I'm saying. 😂 The picture is crisp and clear. The sound is good. We put this on our mantle and the feet fit perfectly. We have a standard width mantle. This is a 58" tv. It's super light!!! I can't get over how much lighter it is from an Insignia that we replaced. ( Died in just 2 years...junk) I've had 3 RCA's in my life and I've always had good luck with them. We shall see. For the price you can't go wrong with this. I'm seeing the 43" haven't been performing. I'll update this if something happens to it prematurely.UPDATE: run away as fast as you can. I reached out to the distributor about the lines across the screen. I did everything they asked of me to show them what is wrong with it. They are just jerking me around to run out the warranty it seems. They give you 7 days to do the litany of instructions before they close out the claim. I did everything they wanted and still they are saying it's not the TV. Saying it must be the HDMI input. Wrong!!! I've told them twice now I don't have anything plugged into any of the HDMI ports. Then they said the lines don't go all the way across the screen. Look at the last picture I posted. Sure looks all the way across to me. They don't want to honor the warranty. My husband is in the throws of a courageous battle with cancer and we simply don't have any money to buy a new TV. Treatments have all but bankrupted is. I thought RCA would honor their product. I am wrong it appears. Should anything change I will UPDATE again. At this point....RUN!!!!!!

2 months no issues
I did get the extended warranty because it is economically priced. It’s exactly as described and no issues the first 60+ days. I don’t have super expensive TVs so this is fine for us and the picture and sounds are good, in my opinion. Easy to install apps and connect to Wi-Fi.I can’t compare it to a more expensive or larger TV. We do not watch a lot of TV so this works fine for us.

I like it
I bought this at Walmart for about $300 this week (10/25/2018). I got the 50" that came out at the end of 2017; this was on sale probably because 2019 is only two months away, and newer and bigger versions are always coming out. Also, because it was sold and shipped from Walmart, I also knew I'd get an instant refund from my local Walmart store (which is 5 minutes away from my house). I upgraded my Netflix plan to $14/month so that I can watch shows/movies that are available on 4K UHD/HDR. I can't really tell the difference between HD and UHD/HDR, but maybe it's because this is only a 50", I am sure I would notice it more on a 70" TV. The picture is clear and sharp, I love that it's a Roku TV, and I'm satisfied with the TV speakers. Some movies/shows the sound is amazing at only a volume level of 10, other movies/shows I have to put the volume up as high as 25. With me personally, this TV is at a farther than average viewing distance because I have it in the "play area" of my home. (My living room TV is at a typical viewing distance though.) Those that are complaining about volume - first (and most importantly) it depends on the movie/shows production quality; again I've watched some movies when the volume was at 10, and other movies I had to turn it up as high as 25. Second, most people who want quality sound from a TV knows they need to buy speakers or a sound-bar, and not depend on the TV itself (hence why they have speakers/sound-bars in the same section as TVs). This has the standard quality refresh rate of 60 Hertz; for 120 or 240 Hertz you'll have to spend a few hundreds more and get a quality brand like Sony, Samsung, or LG. New TVs are now all 2400p (4K UHD/HDR) compared to the 1080p of regular HD TVs; it was a big deal when it first came out, but now it's basically standard because no manufacturer (even the budget TV brands) are going to go backwards in technology. I personally do not notice the difference between the 2400p and 1080p (both TVs have 60 Hertz); but again this TV is at a greater than average viewing distance than normal for me; but if I sit on the floor up close to this TV I can tell the image is sharper because of the pixels. Overall though, I like it a lot for what I paid and what my expectations were. A bit of advice for the novice shopper, I would recommend buying electronics that are only sold AND shipped from Amazon, not from a third-party seller. Be careful, because even if it's available for Prime shipping, that does not necessarily mean Amazon is the seller. You'll get better reassurance on a refund if it's sold from Amazon directly.
